Before its breakup, Yugoslavia was a federal state consisting of separate "republics": Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovenia. The capitals of these republics are the same as these countries' capitals today. Which ex-Yugoslavian capital has the best climate? Sarajevo

Tough choice between Zagreb and Belgrade. Zagreb is better April-August but Belgrade is better September-March. I wonder what dews are like in the summer there.
Also neither place records snowfall which would be a good tiebreaker, snowy days aren’t helpful at all as a few flurries or a foot count the same

Podgorica is nice, been there.

Podgorica for me. The nice summers are a good reward for the shitty cold rainy washout winters.

PodgoricaAs soon as I saw the box, I thought "now that's a desiccatedi85 climate". I like it too; it has the warmest winters of the bunch, with glorious warm dry summers to boot.

Another one for Podgorica. Not my preferred rain pattern but those summer temps are solid. Winter rainfall is high but it seems like they don't have that many raindays.

Podgorica for the easy win. The best of a bunch of bad climates.

Podgorica for being the warmest, sunniest and wettest (though washed out winters)

Zagreb. Didn't know their winters have fewer sunshine hours than Paris and London.

Stupid sunshine hours in winter really ruin these climates. Going with Belgrade.

Podgorica because it's the best climate in Europe - mild winters, nice hot summers, and no total summer dry out.
