Seriously Cheeseman you couldnโt figure out a bracket before the tournament started? Very easy to do a simple google search for a 26 team bracket. Anyway Srfoskey AJ

Sorry for causing chaos. I got the numbers in the polls mixed up, and would vote for Donar in the poll I missed (not that it matters at this point).
In terms of the rematch, my votes are:

Anyway Srfoskey AJ The problem is, a 26-team bracket like the one linked in the spoiler below requires some climates to participate in more battles than others, which isn't necessarily fair.

This whole tournament has been a complete disaster from the start.

This whole tournament has been a complete disaster from the start. I've come to the realization that I probably wasn't the best person to run it. Once again, everything I touch seems to have the uncanny tendency to get ruined. It happened in real life today, when a package I was carrying dropped on the ground and some of its contents spilled out.

Thatโs unavoidable. Donโt see how doing a round and then figuring it out gets around that issue. Making it up on the fly is more unfair than having a set bracket at the start. Only way to avoid some people having more battles is to start with some pools of 3 or 4 and people pick multiple but 26 isnโt divisible by anything so youโd have sone groups of 3 and sone of 2 which could also be considered unfair

I propose a rule change for the tournament for the good of the forum, which is a switch in the voting rules. It is likely that both runoff matchups tie. As Cheeseman stated, 26-team tournaments in a traditional bracket are hard to do as play-ins (extra matchups for some, not others) make it unfair.
I propose that we switch the tournament to ranked-choice voting. There are 26 dream climates. If we had 32 a tournament would work well, but we do not. Anyway, the way ranked-choice voting works is that every voter ranks the candidates, or climates in our case, from 1 to 26. 1 being the best climate, 26 the worst. Climates that get a 1st place vote are awarded 26 points, 2nd place votes get 25 points, 3rd place votes get 24 points, etc.
An example of how this would play out. Let's say we have 5 climates and 5 votes for simplicity's sake. I will illustrate with the following contestants/climates: Metsfan, Fairweatherfan, Benfxmth, TommyFL, and AJ, all voting hypothetically.
Metsfan's votes | 1st Metsfan, 2nd Fairweatherfan, 3rd Benfxmth, 4th TommyFL, 5th AJ
Fairweatherfan's votes | 1st Fairweatherfan, 2nd Metsfan, 3rd TommyFL, 4th Benfxmth, 5th AJ Benfxmth's votes | 1st Benfxmth, 2nd Metsfan, 3rd TommyFL, 4th Fairweatherfan, 5th AJ TommyFL's votes | 1st TommyFL, 2nd Metsfan, 3rd Fairweatherfan, 4th AJ, 5th Benfxmth AJ's votes | 1st AJ, 2nd TommyFL, 3rd Fairweatherfan, 4th Metsfan, 5th Benfxmth
Results would be as follows
Metsfan earned 5 + 4 + 4 + 4 + 2 = 19 points (1st place)
Fairweatherfan earned 4 + 5 + 2 + 3 + 3 = 17 points (2nd place)
Benfxmth earned 3 + 2 + 5 + 1 + 1 = 12 points (4th place)
TommyFL earned 2 + 3 + 3 + 5 + 4 = 17 points (2nd place)
AJ earned 1 + 1 + 1 + 2 + 5 = 10 points (5th place)
