Genuinely saddened me to watch Jorge Lorenzo's press conference today. He might be a bit of a broken man, but it's proof that even extraordinary champions are human beings. He might have had the best bike at Yamaha, but winning with the best bike on a motorcycle is a LOT more demanding than waving to the crowd driving a Mercedes with two extra support wheels. This is how I want to remember him. One of the best laps in motorcycle history, when it mattered the very most. Pole by 0.4 seconds over Marc Márquez (!) in Valencia, 2015.
Even though he spoke in Spanish at first, I still understand MotoGP Spanish enough to figure out most of what he was trying to say and when he said "retirado" it was a really sad moment. Gracias Jorge. Legendo. The finest compliment I can give him is to say that he's the Wayne Rainey of our generation. Luckily, after Assen, still with functioning legs. I hope he can go out there with no pressure, have a blast, and finish in the top ten this weekend.

yeah not a good end to his career but it was his fault for leaving Ducati to go to Honda. Hopefully Zarco can be on the grid next year in either the LCR Honda or the factory Honda. |

Ducati offered the Petrucci joke his contract based on his annual "ride fast while trying to get a contract" race in spring so nothing he could've done I'm afraid 
Zarco should be tried at Repsol. Has a way higher ceiling than Crutchlow, even at his age. He was basically Quartararo, before Q emerged.
