These are the 10 most and least most liveable cities in the world, according to the Economist Intelligence Unit's Global Liveability Index for 2023. Most liveable: 1. Vienna, Austria 2. Copenhagen, Denmark 3. Melbourne, Australia 4. Sydney, Australia 5. Vancouver, Canada 6. Zurich, Switzerland 7. Calgary, Canada 7. Geneva, Switzerland 9. Toronto, Canada 10. Osaka, Japan 10. Auckland, New Zealand Least liveable: 164 Douala, Cameroon 165 Kyiv, Ukraine 166 Harare, Zimbabwe 166 Dhaka, Bangladesh 168 Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea 169 Karachi, Pakistan 170 Lagos, Nigeria 171 Algiers, Algeria 172 Tripoli, Libya 173 Damascus, Syria I aggregated the climates of the most liveable cities and the least liveable cities. Does a liveable city mean a liveable climate?

Most livable actually looks quite nice although Iโm sure records, snowfall and storms are pretty lame.

I'll vote for most liveable, because it's less rainy and monotonous, but both are decent.

The colder one is better, but both of them look livable. Having a city in Ukraine brings down the average a lot for the least livable category.

Neither of the most livable cities are tropical, Sydney is the warmest of them and itโs still barely subtropical.
Meanwhile the least livable cities are either tropical or arid with Ukraine and Harare being the only exceptions.
Coincidence?

Most liveable for being more seasonal and having a better rainfall distribution. Perhaps a bit of bias in there as well.

Least livable is actually a great climate. Also I love that despite the heat, the summer nights stay below 70F

They're both meh, but I'll go with least liveable for getting heat plus dry warmth, which most liveable lacks.
