February 2024 was the eighth warmest on record in the Oklahoma City area. There was one snowfall in the middle of the month with very marginal temperatures. While the official reading at the OKC airport was 3.2" (8.1 cm), only about one inch (2.5 cm) accumulated in Norman. Precipitation was near normal. The high of 88Β°F (31Β°C) on the 26th tied for the sixth highest monthly maximum February temperature. Most of the winter was mild, only a couple weeks in January and the random snow in February felt like proper winter. The winter as a whole was 16th mildest out of 135 (88th percentile as far as warmth goes). Bradford pears were blooming by late February, which is a couple weeks earlier than normal. '

Most of the winter was mild, only a couple weeks in January and the random snow in February felt like proper winter. Same here, only the first 3 weeks of January felt like winter and it is was March before I knew it. I donβt mind since we still got a good amount of snow and temps were nice but still felt like it was barely winter this year

February was the wettest on record and well above average. Excellent month with mild temps, a record rainstorm and still a decent amount of snow. February 3rd alone had more precipitation than any other entire February. Meteorological winter was the T-5th warmest and warmest since 1999-2000. It was also the 8th wettest. Monster blowtorch, the warmest February on record for the whole country.
Zagreb beat Feb 2020 (mean 7.7C) by a +1.5C difference, which is a good amount.
Incredibly tame record low temperature, coupled with the fact that temp went below 0C only 3 times during the whole month, made this month feel like a spring. This February was warmer than a standard March. In fact, it can pass as a warm March!
0 snow, not even a flurry.
Just look at how much warmer this February was than a normal February (1991-2020 Jan-Mar averages down below):
Same thing for Split, February was warmer than a standard March.
And winter as such was a blowtorch. #1 warmest for Rijeka, Dubrovnik and Osijek.
#2 warmest for Zagreb and Split.

So, after a really cold January, February was now a month that was not below normal after several months of below average temperatures. Since the information about Vilsandi was incomplete, I made a box about SΓ΅rve peninsula this time. It is in fact more oceanic as it is the only place in the country where, for example, August is statistically warmer than July.
