The gay bullfuck where otherwise high latitude subarctic maritime climates in their natural climatic state get as high or higher quality storms than I do has begun.

C'mon you make it sound as if it's abnormal for us to get a couple storms here and there.

A bit of an unexpected WIN today! Picture-perfect, splendid spring day today, high/low at my PWS is 84.5/54.8°F (29.2/12.7°C), severely overperforming the forecast high of 81°F today. Felt uplifting and incredibly comfortable. This is a contrast to the exceptionally cold Easter (weekend inclusive) in 2023 in an otherwise warm April, in fact, the last time an Easter was warmer than normal was in 2017, a rarity in the new age climate! On a somewhat unrelated note, look at that polar insult (backdoor cold front) fucking over NE NC/SE VA today, as of 3 PM today. 20+°F temp contrasts over 20-30 miles 14°F drop over 2 hours in Currituck Co. Airport today

Warmest temps in March:
Riga: 21.7 c (average high 4.8) Valga: 21.3 c (average high 3.8) Fort Collins: 20.6 c (average high 13.6)
Jesus fuck. Coldest March max since 2006, last year it hadn’t gotten warmer by the end of March was 1991.
March hasn’t been that bad though, only slightly below average. Mostly just really stable with lots of near average days

Brisbane endures gloomiest month in 2 yearsDespite a noticeably sunny end to March, the month still turned out to be the cloudiest in almost two years and the cloudiest March in 14 years in Brisbane. The city averaged five hours and 45 minutes of sunshine per day - that's one hour and 45 minutes less sunshine per day than the long-term norm for March. The last time the city had a cloudier month was in May 2022, averaging only four hours and 20 minutes of sunshine per day.
The last time there was a cloudier March was in 2010 when five-and-half hours were recorded on average per day. The main cause for the gloomy month was humid winds blowing from the east combined with a feed of upper-air moisture streaming in from the west.
It may come as no surprise that the extra cloud resulted in cooler-than-average days, warmer-than-average nights and six more rain days than normal, leading to a wetter-than-normal month.
The bulk of the gloom and wetness occurred in the four days from Sunday 24th to Wednesday 27th when no sunshine was recorded, and rainfall amounted to a bit over 100mm. It turned out to be the gloomiest four-day spell in 11 years. Much deserved Brizzy, much deserved.... www.weatherzone.com.au/news/brisbane-endures-gloomiest-month-in-2-years/1886013

Helsinki Airport recorded 17.7C yesterday. One day earlier and it would've broken the all-time March heat record by 0.2C. Oh well.

Some of the highest totals from yesterday's rain event. Most of these stations are to the north-east or east of the Melbourne Metropolitan area, with a couple of those stations being within it.

Today afternoon, as a very cold air mass from the northwest began to move south there were noticeable contrasts in terms of temperature. At the same time in the afternoon, coldest and warmest places: warm in the south-east of inland and cold on the north-west coast
