Why does this shit happen at the start of every month, it's like a switch flicks. I'm assuming it'll improve like it has for the past three months with this phenomenon.

It improved in November. No such luck in Dickcember, this month is still 0.7C BELOW avg MTD. Even the next few days have been severely downgraded BOM's seasonal outlook has the rest of this crummer painted in Royal Blue...looks like they might be right for the first time in history, I'm really wishing for reverse psychology, but after this fucken dickcember, I lost all hope

Well January looks fine (for me), February is the one to worry about. At least it's all of Australia joining in this time.
Still way too fucking wet though. I guess that's the La Nina in action?
Edit: Here's hope for you Beercules
"Historical accuracy for maximum temperatures is moderate over most of Australia, except eastern SA, where accuracy is low. Minimum temperature accuracy is patchy, with moderate accuracy across eastern Australia, the Top End of the NT and northern WA."

^^ Is that 14C realistic?
WO often overestimates the temps for where I live in mild/wet winter weather, I guess that must be close to a record high for you in late December if true?

Yeah the infamous Skipton glitch All forecasts agree that at least 11 or 12 ยฐC will be reached. 14 ยฐC would be one or two degrees below record, not THAT unrealistic imho.

GFS drops the hammer down on Bing The lows are kinda lame tho. With a monstrous cold wave you'd expect some epic lows at least. Instead it's just nastyass cloudy weather with cold highs but moderate lows. This forecast sucks ass brah, happy to be in New York!

Lows here are kind of lame too, highs are more notable. It would be awesome to get some nights well below 0 F/-18 C. That said, this forecast is closer to the more extreme end of the spectrum so I can't complain.

Winter seems cancelled you might be hogging warmth from us. . Current northern hemisphere 850 hPa anomaly temperature map. Warm air over most much of Eurasia, cold for North America outside of the southwest. Europe above freezing well into Russia

^Yeah, warm in much of Europe, but colder than average here in the western part, but no extreme cold here.
