I saw a forecast high of 72F/22C tomorrow, but it won't be 72 in the afternoon. It's supposed to be 48F/9C and raining at 6pm. The wind changes from west to east and the temperature drops quickly. Meanwhile, Madison will reach the low 80s/upper 20s since it's far enough inland to avoid this kind of thing. It was 50F and cloudy at 6pm. NWS expected the temp to drop at 2pm and it dropped at noon. Pretty close.
At noon, it dropped 18F/10C in an hour.
Noon: 73F/23C, dew point 64F/18C, cloudy, wind 5 mph 8km/h SW. morning low was 68F/20C 1 pm: 55F/13C, dew point 52F/11C, cloudy, wind 10 mph 16km/h NE. Some fog and rain in the afternoon. Clouds near downtown were lower than some of the buildings.
Madison was warm, but did not reach 80 because of cloudy skies all day. The high was 79F/26C.
The cool air is short-lived this time as tomorrow's forecast is 81/68 (27/20) and a chance of thunderstorms. Back to summer.

We could definitely use some rain (only 1.21"/30.7 mm for the month so far), but the temps aren't bad for this time of year.

I believe. I have faith. WO's forecast shall prevail! This is what SMHI and YR are saying, but in a few days they'll upgrade their forecasts, mark my fucking words!

Not horrible, but highs in the lower 70s F in the beginning of June can get fucked.

Finally a decent forecast, first time since last September. Today the last below average day and a stretch probably dating back all the way to late March

Looks like a bit of a drier south easterly surge is going to impact us from tomorrow. Slightly reduced temps both max and min, as well as drier DP's. If the forecast temps are accurate, we will average 32.8c max tempd for May, 0.7c above the long term mean since 1942.

First actually good weather pattern for over a month, that isn't just a couple good days inbetween atrocious weather. A sunny heatwave is coming to central and northern Sweden. Arctic Sweden: SkellefteΓ₯ airport, an hour north of UmeΓ₯ at a similar distance to the sea but with forest in the way, instead of open fields and river deltas. Lycksele, a few hours NW of UmeΓ₯ at 350m ASL. Kronoby on the other side of the sea And UmeΓ₯. Much colder temps. This will be a perfect time to test my theory about the airport being particularly susceptible to seabreeze. If my theory is correct, the airport will start levelling out at or before noon, while my PWS will continue to rise and record highs that are noticably warmer. The heatwave seems to be centralized aroung my latitude. At 60'N it starts getting cooler. Average weather in the far south.
