Maybe a better chance of T-storms tonight & tomorrow?
.SYNOPSIS... An area of low pressure will affect the area today and this weekend, before high pressure builds back in for next week.
.NEAR TERM /UNTIL 6 PM TONIGHT/... As of 9:00 AM Friday...Quiet, mostly cloudy, mild conditions early this morning. Plenty of mid-level cloud cover has been persisting this morning over the area, but some clearing can be expected later today. A few scattered showers are moving onshore, though only a trace to a few hundredths of an inch of rainfall can be expected through morning. Highs today in the lower 80s expected.
.SHORT TERM /6 PM THIS EVENING THROUGH 6 AM MONDAY/... As of 9:00 AM Friday...A mesoscale convective system will develop to the south tonight, but have downgraded precipitation probabilities to low chance (30-40%) as latest model guidance suggests the cluster of storms--as well as instability to remain south of the area, but a few outlying showers/T-storms may graze the area late tonight, as depicted by GFS 00Z--especially after 00Z. Deep-layer shear will be modest (in the order of 25-35 knots), and with little instability inland, severe storms are not expected. Expect another relatively mild night, with lows in the mid to upper 60s thanks to cloud cover.
.LONG TERM /SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY/...
As of 9:00 AM Friday...Shower/thunderstorm chances will continue through the weekend, before quiet weather is expected to return for next week.
Saturday through Sunday...Unsettled pattern will continue through Saturday and Sunday, as a shortwave will form, and combined with sea breeze fronts, and shortwave energy aloft, should likely support scattered shower/thunderstorm development Saturday afternoon, but given the diurnal nature of these, convective activity should dissipate after sunset. Highs should be limited to the upper 70s thanks to cloud cover (which may cut back on instability), so will keep precipitation probabilities at chance.
Monday through Thursday...High pressure will build back into the area for most of next week, with mild and mostly dry conditions expected. Highs/lows will be fairly typical, or slightly above normal for early September, in the lower to mid 80s and lower to mid-60s respectively.

While Ral celebrates that there's a couple of sub-70 F lows in the forecast, I'm celebrating that there's no lows of 80 F or above in the forecast. Still shit though.
