Why are WMO allowing all these bs rooftop PWS to be part of their network? because they are fan aspirated and they belong to the National Observatory of Athens Basically fan aspirated stations are more accurate than traditional Stevenson Screen ones. |

Indeed, a fan aspirated station in my bedroom would very accurately depict the climate in my bedroom. Not in Umeå though. |

Indeed, a fan aspirated station in my bedroom would very accurately depict the climate in my bedroom. Not in Umeå though. Take a look at a 17 year comparison between the 2 WMO downtown Athens stations. One being a rooftop fan aspirated station, the other the historic Athens Stevenson Screen. cdweather.boards.net/thread/4802/stevenson-screen-davis-aspirated-comparison?page=1&scrollTo=272038The fan aspirated station is far more accurate temperature wise. |

An even stronger heatwave is set to hit Greece next week. This is what is forecasted for Elefsina, West Athens. The current European record holder in Continental Europe with 48C back in 1977.  |

Also Sparta NOA and HNMS stations as well as Stylida NOA station are expected to approach 38.0C average June max T.
Basically this is unheard of for June in Greece. We are talking this June will smash all records.
