It could, but the highs would also be rather low...say 15°-17° C. Unlike NYC, Shetland always has a lovely breeze to make any nights comfortable. We can have 20°C lows on the coast here, albeit rarely, and then the highs are at least 28-29°C. It does work but is exhausting without AC Luckily lows are most often 13-17°C during heat waves.

Despite the stereotype, Paris' climate is pretty damn ugly I wonder how many people get caught off-guard by the weather there by not doing research beforehand

Paris is almost the same climate as London, yet if that was an option it would only have one or two votes at this point

At least 28°-29° C? How hot do your heatwaves get up there? Sweden with 20°-29° C ranges... Southern Sweden does get weeks with >28'C temps during warm summers. The average max is about 30'C. ogimet.com/cgi-bin/gsynres?lang=en&ind=02574&ndays=40&ano=2014&mes=08&day=16&hora=23&ord=REV&Send=SendThis is Norrköping close to where Lommaren lives. That area normally gets heatwaves like that a few times per decade. Norrköping averages 6.5 days a year above 30'C.

At least 28°-29° C? How hot do your heatwaves get up there? Sweden with 20°-29° C ranges... Shallow sea, lots of land in most directions, Norwegian Mountains blocking NW winds, water inlets, many factors If you include both June, July and August each year, the warmest month of the year is about 24°C in avg high

NYC is my choice; Milan has better temperatures but is too cloudy.

Noo Yawk. Fuhgeddaboutit!
Milan comes in second. I was surprised at how similar Paris and Milan are - Milan actually has colder winters, which goes against the general perception of Italy as a big subtropical paradise.

I never voted in this old poll but NYC is the best, followed by Seoul, Paris, and Milan (in that order).

Milano. Best summers, and the snowiest winters relative to average temps. And far king hell…my arse-kissing exchange with Lommaren made me throw up internally

NYC since it has the most consistent and hot summers without the harsher winters of Seoul. Paris has some nasty crummers and is way too poleward of a latitude , Milan is not too bad though , close second.

NYC for the same reasons as Ariete. Then Seoul, then Milan and then Paris.

Changing my answer to Paris as they never get below average weather anymore

I went with Seoul actually because it's the most different to what I'm used to so it's more interesting to me.
Those rain amounts don't sound so much when it's all on 109 days at 0.1 mm, that's far more dry days than I'm used to.

Paris. If summers were 5 degrees cooler New York would be the clear choice.
