South African sunshine hours have always seemed fishy to me. They're a bit overstated. I mean, Cape Town, a southern ocean facing climate (that is not semi-arid) has an annual sunshine hours of 3,000 hrs? And Johannesburg with its wet summers, gets around 3100 hours? I don't know. Just don't seem right...
