- Once Upon a Time in the West: Pretty much self-explanatory. The score alone would put it on my list.
- In China They Eat Dogs: Very funny and politically incorrect Danish black comedy film.
- Trainspotting: Begbie is a fucking legend. Enough said.

Hmm...
War: - Das Boot (especially when Petersen has gone totally mad since) - Stalingrad (so powerful it brought me to tears) - Talvisota (best Finnish war movie ever and which created the trend of 'realistic' war movies) - The City of Life and Death (probably the best Asian war movie ever)
Other: - Incendies (oh, whoops) - Once Upon a Time in America (Sergio Leone's masterpiece) - Cidade de Deus (so excellent) - Godfather II - Trainspotting - Jurassic Park - Schindler's List - Pulp Fiction

Jurassic Park totally bowled me over when I watched it as a kid. Nowadays I like it rather for nostalgia. Same with that Godzilla film from 1998. How could I forget Pulp Fiction (and Reservoir Dogs)... And I prefered Godfather I over II, but it's a long time ago since I've watched them.

Just finished that movie! Holy shit, I was sort of expecting a plot twist the whole time, but didn't expect a twist like that

A Clockwork Orange and Requiem for a dream are my favorites I think. I also remember really lovikg American History X, although I think I've watched it too many times. Some recent ones that are amazing are Interstellar and La La Land. Oh! And Whiplash is perhaps top 5 all time. Such a great film!

Actually, I usually say Clockwork is my favorite, but now that I think about it, Requiem for a dream really is just on a whole other level. Like seriously. So. Fucking. Good. I get goosebumps thinking about it.

Watched the Babadook. Not really a scary movie, but holy shit, the kid was fucking annoying. I'm against violence pero like I was rooting for the mother to punch him in the face the whole movie, that would've been the best ending. Props to the actor for making the character extremely hateable

Favourites movies this year would have to be John Wick 2 and Blade Runner 2049. Both achieve excellent styles with BR2049 having some of the best combination of sound design, cinematography, soundtrack and acting in recent years.
