A video of snow falling in Tallahassee, wicked cool! Areas east of town are getting much heavier snowfall rates, have a friend who lives up there and works east of town that told he drove through near whiteout conditions!

nice to see it wasn't all ice in that Florida snowstorm. This is related to the storm that will reach Massachusetts tomorrow I think. Or related. Weather map at the time: Definitely related. Here's where the GFS shows the low moves to. low moves offshore, gets bigger in 6 hours or so noontime tomorrow, bombs down in pressure and snowstorm over New England. SE Massachusetts gets some rain.

An update from the last radar image, snow spreading south and east. Look how far south frozen precip is trying to make it, approaching Gainesville and even a blue spot showing up just west of Ocala! That area between Perry, Madison and Live Oak has been recording rather heavy snow for the past 3 hours or so, wouldn't surprise me at all if they've accumulated about 2-3" in those areas already.

Holmön also currently has a wind speed of 0.0 m/s. That's impressive for a small island.

Current radar for SE GA and Southern SC, looks like Charleston and Savannah getting in on the action as well, I bet BullochResident is getting quite the nice snowfall! The area between McRae, Waycross and Vidalia has had moderate/heavy snow for hours now, wouldn't surprise me at all if those areas receive well in excess of half a foot of snow! I can't wait for the storm totals to come out.

not as cold air moving into New England ahead of the storm. Summary from the Mt. Washington Observatory: A weak warm front will lift north Wednesday morning providing increased cloud cover and a possible snow flurry or two. As the front departs, a clearing trend will set up on and above the summits for the afternoon as a weak ridge crests in. Milder air behind the front will allow the arctic blast to finally break as temperatures rise, approaching seasonal averages by the end of the day. Winds will also be decreasing as the ridge builds, which will allow wind chills to rise over the course of the day. As a result, a wind chill advisory currently in effect will expire at noon EST Wednesday. While Wednesday is expected to see generally fair weather for New England, along the mid-Atlantic an area of low pressure will develop and head north which will be affecting our weather for Thursday and beyond. As this low races northward it will rapidly deepen and strengthen as it moves into the Gulf Of Maine Thursday. As the low passes, snow will spread in picking up in intensity over the course of the day. Additionally, winds will rapidly be boosting Thursday into Thursday evening with gusts expected to exceed the century mark for several hours. The increasing and shifting winds will lead to ground blizzards at times www.mountwashington.org/experience-the-weather/higher-summit-forecast.aspx

I'm a little bit to the west, but will hopefully get at least a couple inches of snow out of the storm tomorrow. Frigid arctic air on it's way. 17 F/-8 C at 9:00PM...I stepped outside and honestly it doesn't feel too bad since there's no wind this evening.

Historic stuff out east for sure. Toronto could dip below -30C on Friday night. Jesus I wonder when the last that happened was. More than 20 years ago? Yeah. I think it was back in Jan 1994. Toronto seldom sees temps that cold.

Near unofficial stations are in the middle with 9°F. Should warm up as the storm approaches.

Predicted lows tonight across North FL/South GA - Tallahassee/Southwest GA: Jacksonville/Southeast GA: Southeast GA colder than Southwest GA, probably due to snow cover? Not often you get to say that lol, also SW GA is normally colder than SE GA. Teens sneaking into North FL!!
