i understand liking fall colours but who actually likes bare leaves in winter... Me. Itβs not an overgrown green blob and you can actually see through the trees. Also a nice change of pace.

Coniferous (Radiata Pine), followed by Eucalypt (Snow Gum).
Certain deciduous trees, such as Black Poplar, are also lovely.

What's the difference between deciduous forest and subtropical forest Steelernation I might be confusing climates like north Carolina (even though most of the state is deciduous)

Looks like I'm going with the majority and voting for deciduous forests. In particular I love the vegetation found in far southern Ontario, like in Windsor and the surrounding area. Absolutely beautiful, and comes with a great climate by my standards as well i understand liking fall colours but who actually likes bare leaves in winter... I do, as long as it doesn't last 7 or 8 months a year like it does here. 2 to 4 months of bare leaves in the winter would be perfect for me.
