What is your favorite vegetation type? I love pretty much any open landscape such as prairies and sagebrush but my absolute favorite has to be the tundra (either arctic or alpine). EX:

Cool subtropical forests are pretty neat.

A tropical island with coconuts in the sunshine is the best

Palm trees. Scenes like in Kronan's post are idyllic and atmospheric and enjoy those aswell.

Warm, moist, subtropical....
I want to see tall grass, wild palms, majestic evergreen oaks and banyans, etc.

That last picture is literally the most beautiful photo I've ever seen. Was it taken in northern Alaska? Big fan of tundra, especially forest tundra, here as well.

It was taken in Denali national park, in central Alaska. I was there a few years back and it's one of the most beautiful places I've been.

Meadows with a few groves here and there. Topography is more important than vegetation though.

Mediterranean/sclerophyl.
Nice light green to olive tone with dusty, reddish forest floor.
That's most of Sydney and Australia. Very nostalgic.

I think I prefer taiga. It reminds me the most of home. But I would prefer more high mountains in the landscape and overall warmer temperatures of course. I think Banff, Alberta has some of the nicest sceneries.
