This tornado famously hit areas near Parkville and Riverside, though I didn't live here (nor do I have any real memories before late 2003). There are videos of it all over YouTube. I've been through the intersection he is standing at many times.

A good number of lightning strikes to my north this evening from a convective storm. I think I may have gotten a pic of a lightning flash at the top of this cloud in the first pic.

June 28th Supercell storm, quite a good video from someone in Leicester. Shot inside, so thunder isn't as loud but it's quite impressive.

Awesome. We never seem to get storms at dusk here, which is a shame as it's the perfect time imo. Just dark enough that you get the light show, and just light enough that you can see the clouds.
We used to get them all the time before climate change.

I found this video of my avatar storm, as seen from Manchester.
This is probably the only good example of a night time supercell thunderstorm in the UK. The lightning is mental.
