7:05 am 5:02 pm sunset just past 5 pm, not long before sunrise will be before 7 am So your shortest day of the year lasts 9 hours and 4 minutes, longer than my "it's not that dark any more" daylength we have today? www.timeanddate.com/sun/@4929022?month=12&year=2018Where I live is darker than that from 7th November right the way through to 4th February!

Sunrise: 8:28 Sunset: 16:40 Day length: 8 h 11 min Peak sun angle: 13,9°
For me it really feels dark below 7 hours. At 8 hours now it feels slightly springlike already. On warmer days the birds are chirping like it's April.

I'm experiencing my first 5pm sunset today aswell. In Norwich I guess? Seems a tad too early for Northern Ireland.

Daylight to 5:30pm today which enabled me to go out after 4 for an hours walk.
Although, it's all good increasing daylight but we're still ages away from respectable sunset times.

Fascinating that North Americans have the same sunset as me but a sunrise an hour earlier.

5:06pm.
Extremely slow at increasing in lateness at this particular location.
Home is at least 30 minutes ahead and that difference will pick up further.

I am starting to notice the higher sun angle now. Coming out of lectures and the sun is still high enough at 3pm.
