Updated the list from last time (November 9th). I included the loss of daylight and the current conditions. Next update will be November 25th.
Things of note:
- Fairly uniform temperatures across the South and Midwest (Alexandria, MN only 6 F (3 C) colder than Valdosta, GA)
- Very obvious cold front in the Upper Midwest and Southern Canada, hence the 31 F (17 C) difference between Alexandria, MN and Saskatoon, SK.
- Seasonably cold in Southern Alaska and snowy in Juneau
- Still mild in Fairbanks, AK and Barrow, AK - though in the case of Fairbanks, that is set to change quickly in the coming days.
- Polar night encroaching quickly on Barrow, AK
- Seasonably cold across Arctic Canada, though colder than normal in Eureka. Eureka seems to always be by far the coldest spot in Arctic Canada.

Sunrise: 8:28 Sunset: 15:43 Day length: 7 h 14 min Peak sun angle: 10,7°
Even mornings are dark now. After a short heatwave we should start getting a permanent snowpack though which will improve the mood.

Sunrise: 07:47 Sunset: 16:01
Last sunset of the year after 4 pm today, though today's very dense overcast so really the day feels shorter than what the sun times say.

Your sunsets are surprisingly early, quite close behind. England really gets the worst of both worlds: early sunsets in winter but with no snow and no corresponding white nights in the summer.

Your sunsets are surprisingly early, quite close behind. England really gets the worst of all worlds: early sunsets in winter but with no snow and no corresponding white nights in the summer. Lol tell me about it, you say you're looking forward to winter and getting November over with but 21st January will probably look exactly the same outside as 21st November here anyway I haven't got the time to look it up right now but your sunsets are certainly later than mine most of the year, I think Turku has later sunsets for 8 or 9 months of the year as well. I wouldn't want the 9.27 am sunrises we would get around Christmas, but this time of year we'd definitely be better off still being on summer time, 8.47 - 17.01 sounds less depressing than having it get dark before the afternoon's even over. We're forecast a couple of 14-16C highs and 13C lows the next couple of days, it feels so surreal when it "looks cold" outside because of the gloom but you've actually got a stuffy grey blanket over the top of you and it's as warm as it is some days in summer.

It's late so here's Sunday:
Sunrise: 8:40 Sunset: 15:34 Day length: 6 h 55 min Peak sun angle: 9,7°
Single digit sun angles and less than an hour of light left to lose. Some snow would be nice right about now. Hopefully in a week.

I didn't until a few years ago. December 21st is still the "shortest" day, as the sunrises continue to be later until the first week of January.

Updated the list from last time (November 17th). I included the loss of daylight and the current conditions. Next update will be December 4th.
Things of note:
- Quite a bit milder than normal in the Upper South and Midwest
- Quite chilly in Alaska, though Barrow is around average
- Quite a bit milder than it's been in Northern/Arctic Canada, which is kinda lame.
- Polar Night descended upon Barrow
- Eureka and Alert seem to be immune to mild air, although even they're about 10 C warmer than it was in early/mid November.
I think I might add a city at 67 N or 68 N to show the descending of Polar Night as we get closer to the solstice.

The sun came out for about half an hour yesterday, it looked really nice with shadows basically stretching out to the horizon. There's still some snow which helps with the mood but temps are unstable.

Less than 20 minutes to lose now. Currently 9.30 am and the sun's just peaked above the hill on the horizon about 10 minutes ago.
