The two extremes Arizona can offer, one of the warmest climates of the state vs. one of the coldest. Bullhead City is actually further north, but due to it being 7,700 feet (2400 meters) in elevation lower, it's obviously a far warmer climate. For me, Hawley Lake is the obvious choice. Much wetter climate, much more snow and much better winters. Bullhead City is far too brutal and dry for me, and too warm and sunny year-round.

Having survived snowageddons in Norrtälje with about 1/4 the annual snowfall, at least Hawley Lake is sort of the devil I know in this case 24/15 is a very nice summer, but I assume UV is an issue. Bullhead City is just abysmal from May to September and even April and October would feel a bit too much for me, although I could probably manage those.

^ The 15 C temp is the mean, not the average low. Average low is actually 6 C.

Hawley Lake
More exciting and actually has something called "precipitation".

Wow, Hawley Lake has a Cfb climate technically but why so many snow , still it's a no contender. Edit: Ohh I interpreted average mean as average low nevermind lol

Bullhead City. An absolute sensation. Just needs more rain.

Those Hawley lake snowfall days are a joke. No way March gets 42” of snow on 2 days lol.
Anyway Hawley Lake wins—D- vs. E-.

What the heck, I choose Bullhead City! At least half of the year is nice there, whereas in Hawley Lake summer sucks with such freezing lows and these alternating thaws and freezes in winter would be a pain in the ass too. Probably lots of slush there...
Ask me again in September and my choice would be different, lol.

Yeah, and no way does 168" of snow fall from 11 days of snow unless each time snow falls it's a huge storm. I think for the colder months, the precipitation days are more accurate in terms of snowfall days.

The colder snowier climate is obviously better.
Arizona has amazing climatic diversity in such a small geographic area. Where else in the world can you find a climate similar to Baghdad and...uh, well Hawley Lake/Flagstaff have pretty unique climates.

Bullhead for me. Neither are really ideal though. I think around 1000 m elevation would be the sweet spot. There are some magnificent climates around that altitude in the Southwest 😃

I think around 1000 m elevation would be the sweet spot. You decide, these are the lowest places anywhere near. Payson, AZGlobe, AZ

With winter being the wettest time of year outside of the monsoon and an average low of 1C in December, I find those snowfall averages hard to believe. There has to be more than that! It's at 1400m!
