You know what would be perfect? If you posted a pic of that empty parcel of dry dry land to go along with the May stats. June to have average high of 30C next?

Uppsala had 23.4/8.4 this month. That's +7.0/+3.1 compared to the 81-10 average or +5.1'C for means.

Just to mark the sheer intensity of this May, Norrköping's avg high for May for 2002-18 will rise from last year's 16.9°C to 17.2°C this year... This is during the second half a of a 30-year period as well and Norrköping's not even been the epicentre. Uppsala and Målilla will see insane rises. You see Swedish guys, this is why we don't use 15 year normals. One extreme month like May 2018 could easily skew the statistics

Yes, in 2015, May was actually just below 10°C in Örebro. Among the worst stuff I can remember weather-wise.

Wasn't last May really cold in Scandinavia? How much warmer has this May been?

Snowy Mountains—Thredbo Village, NSW (1,380 m AMSL; 36° 30' 11.16" S). Epic snowstorms! Where are you getting snowfall stats from? Can’t believe fucking Gothenburg was almost warmer than us in our record warmest May. Insane warmth in Scandinavia. May was the record warmest, inching past 2015 in the final days. Also drier than average. Weatherbox and stats will come tomorrow with a list of records...

This has been a fantastic month with many days above 25c, even some above 30c. People are starting to act like they live in California here.
Let's hope this was not a freak incident, but that the climate really is starting to become significantly warmer, just like in the medieval ages.
It worries me though that places in Labrador and Siberia at the same latitude have been below freezing. It could also be that this was just a last burst of heat before another hundred thousand year long ice age.

The avg mean temp here has been 16,1c. The avg high around 22,7c. Highest was 31,1 two days ago, yesterday was 28,8. No wonder why it was hard to fall asleep.
But folks: The mean temp was not warmer than july, even for the 61-91 period, so we still have 3 months that can easily be warmer than this.

While everyone else is getting well-above average temps and sun Bangkok's ice age continues. We've been below average since November. SUBARCTIC!!! 😠😠😠
Mean low / high: 26 C / 33 C Lowest low / high: 24 C / 31 C Highest low / high: 28 C / 36 C
Rain: 273 mm Rain days: 28 😱😱😱 Thunderstorm days: 22 😃😃😃
Dewpoint min / mean / max: 22 C / 26 C / 28 C
Very gloomy, depressing month. But the high number of thunderstorms made up for it. We had 13 thunderstorm days in a row earlier in the month 👍

I'd say it's just right for a tropical climate.
