I'm curious to know the May record in the Baltics. If neither the Baltics nor European Russia has hit 437h of sunshine, Sweden has just set the European record As for sunshine I have only data what infoclimat has. But the problem is that infoclimat often does not record the things correctly and thus, there are gaps and logically their sunshine hrs are certainly not higher than in reality but are rather lower. Emhi itself has complete information about sunshine hrs for each official station but this information is not freely available and they want money for it. From time to time I have asked (Emhi's) information about Võru (and as well i have had to pay for it). At least temperatures, recorded by infoclimat are more or less correct compared to EMHI's data. Vöru got 400h according to Ogimet which is probably the most secure source apart from met offices. Vilsandi, the sunniest station on average in Estonia, got 417h.

Black Springs, NSW...me very own farmstead! Quite different to Oberon Springbank, which is ~30 km northwards from here and ~200 m lower. Rather like Taralga Post Office with extra altitude than Oberon Springbank:

May was a fair bit above average, though I don't believe it set any records. It was a very significant (15C) warmup compared to the below average April we had. Most of the month was also way drier than average until we got a big rainstorm two days ago that nearly doubled our precipitation total and brought it up to a normal range. Average high: 23.0C (normal: 18.5C) Average low: 5.7C (normal: 5.1C) Precipitation: 34.7mm (normal: 36.5mm) Highest high: 32.1C (May 15th) Highest low: 14.3C (24th) Lowest high: 9.3C (10th) Lowest low: -1.4C (1st and 10th)

How did you get the word "trace" to show up in your climate boxes? I can't seem to make it work.

How did you get the word "trace" to show up in your climate boxes? I can't seem to make it work. I just typed it in. But it prevents the Weatherbox from automatically calculating the sums, so you have to do that manually.

^Kolmården got 22.2/9.7'C Vindeln close to Tavelsjö got 18.8/5.1 (I disregarded a random -6.1'C on the 30th My estimation for Nyköping would be 21.9/8.8 or something like that. But then again due to SMHI we'll never know.

Hottest May on record; quite the contrast with April which was the 5th coolest. Less than half the normal rainfall for the month. High temps were fairly consistent for much of the month. The first half of the month had drier heat while the second half was more typical of summer with humid heat and some scattered t-storm activity. Warmest min: 76F (24.4C) Coolest max: 81F (27.2C) Days 90F or above: 24 Days with thunder: 9 Highest dewpoint: 75F (23.9C) Average dewpoint: 66F (18.9C) Lowest dewpoint: 49F (9.4C)

Made a few weatherboxes, Source is met.no/eklima
Trondheim-Lade had a May almost a blue copy of Trondheim Airport Værnes.
838 sunhrs after just 5 months.
What a spring - only one "normal" springmonth between winter and summer.
Drammen near Oslo. Oslo had warmer mean (16.1C at Blindern and 17C* at Lilleaker) and abs high this month, but Drammen slightly warmer avg high Oslo almost as sunny as Kristiansand this incredible May.
Stavanger SW coast. New all-time high there too and warmest May ever. Like almost all of southern Norway.
For those who might be interested, the warmest station inside the Arctic Circle this May seems to be Saltdal (39 m) with mean 10.4C, avg high 16.9C and abs max 26.7C.
