^ We had a high of 95 F (35 C) today here too, quite warm w1.weather.gov/data/obhistory/KHWO.htmlWe also had a brief downpour around 6:45-7 pm, brought along some gusty winds and some lightning strikes, but it was only about 10 min long. Wish it could have lasted longer, but at least it was something. I haven't had measurable precip in over a week now. Annoying to go that long without precip this time of the year. Some strong storms formed close to my location today, but moved then moved away to the southwest. Severe warnings were issued in SW LA and SE TX from the storm complex that formed. Good t-storm chances returning on Tuesday & Wednesday. Yeah, this is the time of year when rain matters the most with the extreme sun angle and hot temps, also June down here gets the strongest storms so it's usually my favorite summer month. A dry June sucks ass. Literally what defines June to me is an extremely strong and bright sun with hot and humid temps, with billowing cumulonimbus clouds and thunderheads in the distance, dropping a strong thunderstorm in the mid-late afternoon. My favorite summer conditions. I hate it when convection is suppressed in June.

We got a classic summer "cold" front last night. When those pass by in the summer time they tend to bring sunny weather with highs in the low to mid 80s and lows around 60 with dewpoints only in the 50s or low 60s. I find it to be quite a nice change of pace from the typical hot and humid summer weather we usually get. It's very hard for us to get highs in the 70s and sunshine in the summer.

Just got a flash out of nowhere. Looking at the latest radar update, it looks like a storm just formed over the city.

Mini cool spell ends Wednesday. Today only got to 69 (21 C), snapping the streak of 70+ highs at 16.
Tomorrow is forecast at 65/51 and Wednesday at 64/52, so pretty minor cool spell, most Junes get cooler.
After that we get a complete snoozefest with a week of 75/55 days with partial sunshine. At least itβll be very pleasant, could be much worse.
At the end of the 10-day, thereβs a chance of heat shown. Hopefully weβll get a nice heatwave and maybe hit 90 again...

Pretty good chance of thunderstorms overnight and tomorrow which may bring a decent amount of rainfall. Under a marginal severe risk. Forecast high tomorrow of 88F. The last time we had a high below 90F was May 10; normal for the date is 89F...

what the cloudy ocean air mass looked like from above 26Β°F and freezing rain on the summit. Sun by Long Island and coastal Connecticut let it get warmer yesterday afternoon into the high 60s. Cloudy and cold further north and especially east. Current clouds this morning Current temperatures, 45Β°F in Maine! www.weather.gov/ctp/ObsMapsno upper level low; just a trough and a coastal storm stuck holding it in place via tropicaltidbits.com Free air at 6000 feet looks much warmer than freezing by Mt. Washington; surface must have been cold for some reason. Soundings show it warm too.

Been quite hot the past two days, with highs of 96 F (36 C) both yesterday and today at HWO! w1.weather.gov/data/obhistory/KHWO.htmlYesterday in the evening we received quite the epic thunderstorm with very heavy rain, a shit ton of lightning, and high winds, no such luck today there is a storm to the east off the coast that I can see from my house that looks insane, lightning strikes literally every second. Wish it was headed in this direction.

Really nice weather day today with 3 separate storms and 35 mm at Orly airport. The first woke me up in the middle of the night. Lots of flooding from storms in various parts of northern France atm, the countryside is lush AF right now.

Got to 77 (25 C) today with clear skies, the first time over 70 since Saturday.
It got down to 50 (10 C), the last 2 days but not below. Quite possible this month wonβt go below 50.

The GFS is still showing another potential tropical system in the Gulf around next weekend. The latest run shows a Louisiana landfall! Other runs have shown it similar to Alberto.

Unsettled week coming up in Western Canada. 32C with high humidity tomorrow, and a few days later it cools down to around 15/16 Celsius before going back up into the 20s by middle of the week.

Today was very stormy, it stormed heavily from 1 PM until about 3:45 PM, and then rained steadily until about 6:15 PM. These storms heavily favored the western sections of Broward County, so of course none of the official airports that are all out east record anything significant, gonna have to rely on PWS data to get an accurate reading. :/

^ Lol, that sucks, looks decently warm in pretty much every direction from you too except due north.
It's rather cloudy this morning here too, but strong convective clouds and then sun is out as well. Dews in the 77-79 F (25-26 C) range in the area so plenty of juice for storms later on.
