Back to the good old oceanic air. Dews getting closer and closer to 10ยฐC. One can feel that there is much less precipitable water in the air today. Lots of (mostly minor) damage all over the metro area from last night's rain. Derailed RER train due to a landslide in the SW suburbs (look at the foreground). You don't see that often:

Got up to 84 (29 C) today, the first time above 80 since June 1st.
Supposed to get near 90 next week, perfect timing as its right before I leave. Hope the forecast gets upgraded!
Through 12 days (assuming today holds), June is averaging 74.3/55.6. The high is slightly cooler than May was but I highly doubt may ends up with a warmer average high as the end of this month looks warmer.
We havenโt had any rain since the 5th, a week ago, and before that we had no rain from May 23 to June 2. Iโm loving this dry weather!! Itโs been very sunny too so an amazing stretch.
The grass is starting to turn brown and crunchy, a sign of a good summer IMO. I wouldnโt be surprised if the next drought update puts us in the โabnormally dryโ category. Nowhere near as dry as 2016, but hopefully it gets their as summer goes on...

It's been super windy the last 4 or 5 days out here (around 30km/h winds gusting to 40-50) and it's finally supposed to calm down tonight. Gonna be nice to have some calmer air, I'm not a huge fan of windy days unless there's a thunderstorm or blizzard.

This is turning out to be a pleasant June but it looks like there may be some heat next week with 30 C+ highs.

Looks like that stuck Scandinavian high pressure is deflecting all their rain to you. Southern England still getting any storms? London hasn't seen any precipitation since the thunderstorms on 29th May. The forecast has the chance of a thunderstorm later in the week, but otherwise dry. Pretty typical summer pattern.

Man this Yuma weather is so boring. A half hour of anything but pure sunshine makes my day. 18,5 hours of radiation day in and day out.

I don't have any exact data but it has drizzled a few times. Enough to wet the ground for a few hours but grass is still a sterile yellow.

Euro is forecasting 92F for Binghamton on Monday. That would make it the second hottest day in Binghamton over the past six years (reached 93F in July 2016)! Really really really hoping it comes true

The euro is forecasting 95 (35 C) on Monday!!! Yes, you heard that right, we have a forecast high of 95!!!
Last time it hit 95 was August 13, 2016. It also hit 95 on August 12. Before that you have to go all the way back to July 17, 2012. Thatโs how lame our summers are.
Last time it hit 95 in June was 2001. Yes, 2001. Thatโs 16 fucking years ago.
The NWS is more conservative, predicting a 90 (32 C) high, but theyโre always conservative on heat waves.
95 would be great, but Iโd be pretty happy with 92-94. Only getting to 90 or 91 would feel like a let down.
