Last night had off and on showers; instability from the warm ground and very humid air + a little lift from being near the airmass boundary kept fueling showers. DC got 4.3 inches of rain in the last three days. We got a bit over one inch. We don't need more rain, it's been abnormally dry in the Northeast for the last month overall but the few storms kept hitting us, I'm in the one spot that's been above average www.nrcc.cornell.edu/regional/drought/drought.html

2.95" of rain in the past 3 days, after having received less than an inch the rest of the month. There were apparently major power outages after the first round of storms so it was a good weekend to be out of town.

Intense downpour with a few rumbles when this came; rain bands came from south to north so the length of the band affected us. Also nade it feel like the storm was taking forever to arrive, it was hanging out 3 miles to the west of me for like 15 minutes cause of little wester-east motion
Dramatic clouds before it arrived, was fun to watch it come in

Very muggy day today. High only got up to 83 (28 C), but the dew point got up to 74 (23 C), the highest since the 5th I think. Fucking rain though. 0.57β (15 mm) has fallen already. In just 2 days the precipitation anomaly has gone from like -1.5β to fucking -0.2β Now thereβs gonna be above average rainfall now and the drought will be gone in an instant. Probably gonna be green as fuck in 2-3 days as if we didnβt have 2.7 warm, dry months before This next weekβs forecast continues to be downgraded. Weβll be lucky to get a 30 C average high and precipitation will probably be well above average The first 3 weeks are absolutely wasted with this vile shit. And what pisses me off even more is we had record heat and drought while I was gone and now I get back to miserable ass weather. Why the hell cant this shit have happened early in the month? ? 1 year, 11 months left and Iβll be out of this shit.

Forecast High is 46.7Β°C (Normal High 41.1Β°C); which will tie the standing Record High, currently set in 2014!

Temps have been in the low 30sC in Metro Vancouver this week. Potential for the first 30C+ reading in Vancouver(YVR) since July 2009 on Saturday or Sunday. Meanwhile for Vancouver proper and the suburbs, temps could approach 37C on Sunday(18z GFS shows 98F).

another 2 inches of rain coming in the next 3 days oddly the rainfall amount we have a 1 in 10 chance of exceeding isn't much higher than the forecast; means not much random big pop-up thunderstorms could boost the totals, it's coming mostly in big rainbands very muggy morning; 77Β°F by 9 am with dews in the low 70s

Been storming epicly for the past 35-40 minutes here, water has ponded majorly in the parking lot from the high rainfall rates despite the large amount of gutters around, the couple of ditches on the side of the parking lot are completely filled with water too.

Still 30Β°C at 9 pm, today was 34/21Β°C at Orly airport. 10th 30Β°C+ day of the month there and 14th in Paris-Montsouris. 7th tropical night of the month there and 13th in the Latin Quarter!

Well the dew point is down to 69 (21 C) now which means... The dew point stayed above 70 f for 55 straight hours! Amazing humidity streak for us. Max dews the past 3 days have been 74, 74 and 73 which is also pretty impressive, especially when there were a bunch of days earlier in the month with similar dews. Unfortunately, we got 1.09β (28 mm) of rain today which means we went from being at just 30% of normal rainfall on the 22nd to having a wether than normal month Just when the drought was just upgraded and getting interesting it vanishes in a matter of days The month is still hanging onto 2nd warmest July and 3rd warmest month at 87.2/64.5 through 25 days. Letβs see if it can withstand the last week... Now for the boringness: Max temps the last 5 days...82, 83, 83, 83, 82. BORING! Oh and despite this disgusting barrage of rain, there has not even been a single rumble of thunder with it

The airport is located right next to the water and frequently has a NW wind in the summer which dramatically affects temperatures when compared with locations just 1km away.

Today's High was 46.7Β°Cπ‘(Normal High 41.1Β°C); it was a new Record High, the now fallen Record was 46.1Β°C set in 1943, it was also our third record high in a row!
And as I also stated, we had a Record max Low of 33.9Β°C this morning, which shattered the standing record of 32.2Β°C set in 2003!
So our mean temp today was 40.3Β°C!
