rainfall totals in the last week We missed a lot of the heaviest rain bands; more of them were further west. Looking at monthly totals, we look higher relative to other areas cause we had a lot of rain before this wet week from water.weather.gov/precip/

Getting pretty dry here; I haven't had measurable precip in 2 weeks. At least we had decent rainfall the first part of July. High pressure has been pretty strong over TX, LA, and surrounding areas the past week. Precip chances looking better here starting Sunday.

Most people I've heard from around there are looking forward to that. Lots of moaning about dead lawns/vegetation and being too hot lol.

Awesome summer weather day. To begin a warm night. The UHI was strong and the mid-levels warmer than the surface as often, with a 26.8°C/80°F (!) low at the top of the Eiffel tower. More reasonable in Paris-Montsouris with 23.6°C and an almost cool 19.9°C low at Orly airport. Then the heater has been turned on with temps approaching the century °F. And then, after one month and a half of nearly no rain, torrential tstorms. Orly went from 36.4°C to 21.1°C in one hour, with gusts approaching 100 km/h. Lots of branches are down from the wind.

Shit Montsouris' 23.8°C low has been erased by a storm that brang the temp down to 21°C. Nice intensity with fairly large hailstones in central Paris: Up to 91 mm in the inner NE suburbs (amateur readings)!
