Should get some beneficial rainfall over the next 7 days. NOAA's forecast for mid-August looks decent.

The mercury has surpassed 25 degrees Celsius – the local definition of ‘hot’ – somewhere in Finland on 45 days so far this year, says the Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI). If this pace keeps up, as forecasts for the next few weeks suggest it might, 2018 could set a new record for days over 25C in Finland.
The current record dates back to 2002, when there were a total of 65. But that year there had been just 39 such days by the end of July.

It's not fair how Paris and Terre Haute just swapped each other's forecast for the average temperatures. Next five-day forecast shows 29~31/17~19(Paris) and 24~28/14~17(Terre Haute).

We've had three separate quite strong storms today, one at around 11 AM-Noon, one at 1-2 PM and one from 4-5 PM or so. Now, we're getting some moderate rainfall with some lightning once again. Pretty epic day!

Reykjavík got balmy 22.3°C for maximum temperature yesterday(29th) in a periodic hour record stat. Probably this will remain as the hottest day of the year.

If you’re just gonna say what the temperature is currently then that goes in the “what is the temperature like where you are” thread. This thread is for discussion or interesting things not just posting your current observations. The last week has been extremely boring here. Except for a random 88 f day on the 26th, all the highs since the 21st have been between 79-83 (26-28 C). Next week looks warmer again again but it’s gonna be a rainy disaster. I would normally say at least we could get some good storms but when we’ve had 2 T-storms the whole fucking year I doubt we’ll see anything more than 1 storm lasting 15 minutes.

This time of year usually has poor setup for hurricanes anyways. I'll be more concerned if it's late August or September and it's still similar.
