We’re up to 17 days over 90 now, T-17th most all time.
Don’t see any in the 10-day but we usually get at least 1-2 in September and there’s a possibility of some in the last 2 weeks of August. Hope we at least get to 20.
Of the 13 years with over 20 90f days, 8 came between 1941 and 1959!
In that incredible 19 year stretch, we averaged 15 90s a year, 3 days over 95 and we had an average highest temp of 96. That’s double the 90s and nearly quadruple the 95s!

Well, our epic 39C forecast for tomorrow got downgraded to an unremarkable 33C. Today's forecast got downgraded from 34C to 31C, although we're already at 32C at 2:00pm. It looks like we might get some rain on Sunday/Monday, which would be nice. It's been way too dry this year and is currently super gross and smokey, I'd like some more moisture, clean air, and green grass.

Morningrise I would be psychotic in that situation. Epic temps can fall victim to downgrades in SE Australia just as much, if the bloody cold front decides to accelerate, or if some southerly wank attack decides to weasel itself in. I always suffer anxiety when checking forecasts in summer, to the extent where I get rapid heart rate I actually look up towns with crappier climates to the south and work my way up to my forecast to avoid PTSD. Geez that's a huge downgrade. Bummer. ☹ Here the high was 19.3°C/67°F today, down from 37.0°C/99°F 2 days ago. 😲 How's Melbourne treating you?

Moisture, clean air, and green grass are really hard to come by right now, at least west of Ontario. Not sure how MB has fared but probably similar to SK. Absolutely bone dry here for the past month despite relatively high dew points. The autumn rains can't come soon enough.

Thunderstorms in the area everyday this week and a high chance tomorrow. I'm up to 1.54" of rain for the month so far. The airport has been missing out on storms and just has 0.60".

Saskatoon recorded its first 38C temperature in a decade, with a high of 38.2C at the university station and 37.9C at the airport station. The last time we hit 38C was August 2008 for the university station and August 2003 for the airport station. 30C tomorrow, a brief cool-down on Sunday/Monday, then above average temperatures again... this has been a pretty solid summer overall.
