So far t-storms have failed to materialize in my area the past couple of days and temps have been hotter than I expected... But yesterday afternoon I went through a strong thunderstorm between Alexandria and Lafayette while on the interstate. I think there was even some small hail.

Turns out we have been getting wildfire smoke today and yesterday! This is a good ARTICLE about it. The picture at the bottom shows yesterday’s sun very well. It also mentions keeping temps down, makes sense for today where it peaked at 77 (25 C) at around 1 Pm and has cooled off slightly since then despite no rain nearby. The sun has also been noticeably hazy the last few days. Apparently, wildfire smoke isn’t that uncommon but still kinda cool, also haven’t really noticed it as much before.

The atlantic ocean has really come alive this August (as it usually does), maybe that's why we got more than you guys.

As of now, we have set a new Record max Low for the day. Our low was 32.2°C and the standing Record was 31.1°C set in 2015 (Normal Low 28.3°C). It should stick based on the forecast, no storms predicted until tomorrow

last week in a station near Northampton, MA. Relative humidity was near 100% for a long time. First few days were mild and humid then hot and humid. Cold front arrived on the 20th and caused a big drop in humidity.
