We’re no longer in drought anymore, it was nice while it lasted. Now everything is lush and green and boring again. After the 7th, summer really burned out with lots of 70s, low 80s and above average precipitation but no thunderstorms. July was epic and the first week of August was good, since then it’s been a total snoozefest. I either want thunderstorms or I want it dry, I don’t want fucking moderate rain Looks like a few days of upper 80s early next week but nothing of note and then back down to average. Hopefully September can deliver a nice heatwave like the last few years. Having no 90s after the first week of August would be fucking lame.

Lol, that 2.8C in Southern Finland is Vihti Maasoja, the 10.3C partly overlapping is Lohja Porla, a 20km distance from Maasoja. Two microclimates.

Summer's come to an end a few weeks early on the Canadian prairies, with high temperatures mostly in the high teens/low 20s Celsius for the coming week. We did get an early start to summer with well above average temperatures through much of May and June, though, so it doesn't really bother me at the moment.

It's currently 16C in Saskatoon and 32C in Regina, second time I've seen such a large temperature difference between the two cities this summer... very strange. The two cities are 250km apart with no significant geographical features in between that would alter or moderate weather patterns to this extent.

The onshore push yesterday aided in pushing the smoke east, however the fires on Vancouver Island are of some concern...with NW winds, more smoke could easily find its way into Metro Vancouver once again.
