I was going to upload images of a woodland, but Baba begged me to spam these instead. I like that bike path. Nice turquoise water, too. Doesn't look like 53°N

View from train in Sweden View from train in Norway Our first hike was in Svolvær. Overcast with clouds at 150M ASL though. Walking on mountain ridges with 30m visibility where if you look down the overhang, all you can see is whiteness straight down was a bit sketchy. As we started making our way down to the Svolværgeita (geita=goat), the clouds started to disperse and rise a bit, so we got to see stuff. The day after that we went and checked out a beach. Pretty cold though at about 16'C and windy on the beach in Ramberg. Really beautiful though. Then we hiked up a nearby mountain to the flakstadtind. The fjord there was absolutely absurd. Here's a panorama. After having taken a swim in a lake in the mountain valley at 350m asl (it was warmer up in the valley than down by the beach, and because there was no glacier run off, the water was surprisingly comfortable to swim in. Really refreshing) we continued up the actual summit (only like 550m ASL). We lost the trail and chose a super steep path. Very exhausting, and pretty dangerous. Panorama from the top. Honestly the view was better down where we took our first stop, but the top wasn't bad either. The day after that, we hiked up Reinebringen. Absolutely surreal view of Reine there. We continued a little further along this pretty cool and slightly scary ridgeline. (Previous image was taken from the right-most peak) Then we got to this place with a 100-300m vertical drop with slight overhang. I got some pretty nauseating vertigo from doing what my friend on the picture was doing. And here's the last midnight we spent in Norway.

View from train in Sweden And here's the last midnight we spent in Norway. Stunning photos! Lofoten is an area of Norway I really want to visit someday, the scenery is amazing. Also nice to see photos of mountains and tundra rather than the boring deciduous forest pics most people post here.

^ What places did you go to? I went from the Vesteralen all the way to A. In the Lofoten we went to Reine, Uttakleiv, Nusfjord, Hennigsvaer among places of interest, as well as places in Hinnoya, Andoya and Langoya in the Vesteralen.

From a "hike" earlier this month, July 2018...French Riviera.
Baked by the Mediterranean sun, but moderated by being a peninsula jutting out in the sea...Cape d'Antibes, beautiful area.
Pretty lush, I guess they water their gardens in summer
Guess I walked ca 11-12 km. Warm, but temps stayed below 30C, maybe like 26-28C.

My favorite tree The grass looks terrible. I bet almost no place in Europe is safe from it right now.

Interesting clouds over Trondheim today. Think they are a variant of Lenticular clouds. We had a breeze from SE, which had passed over the mountains to reach us.
With the breeze, the high of 30.9C did not feel so bad

Nice skies around 8 pm today, the kind of cloud nei likes. Cirrocumulus I believe. Lots of broken branches from Friday's storm around here. There were a lot of delays on suburban trains with trees and branches falling off on the tracks. Pretty lush, I guess they water their gardens in summer Awesome! I used to jog around the Cap d'Antibes once to twice a week, it was within walking distance from home. It definitely was easier in winter, thogh doable year-round. Actually I posted almost the exact same photo on C-D back in October 2014.
