Here are a few videos I shot in 3.5k of two of the mountains we climbed. This is Flakstadtind. The water was rudely turqoise for being frigid. We did swim in a lake up in the mountain valley at 350m asl though. Surprisingly warm; maybe 19-20'C. Same place but a higher peak. Here's Reinebringen overlooking Reine. Looks like Skyrim or something. Quite surreal. Bonus: Train view right before entering Norway. Notice most of the birches have no leaves. I presume it's because of the drought, but there are no red leaves; only fully green trees and fully bare trees.

Yeah, would look better greener. Still some impressive plants there for the latitude.

I think Southsea looks like that every summer. I remember FG posting pics from an average summer and it looked the same. July averages 32mm on 5 days there with 262 sun hours, so it's not surprising.
That aerial pic is good.

Surprisingly cool there in the summer tbh. Highest average high under 22C. I would have expected better lol.

Records are 35c and -8c.

Weekend before last and last week: River really low now in the controlled part between artificial waterfalls (you can see the closed half of the upper one in the picture, whereas the other is 500 metres further down), where I stood on the banks usually there is a bit of water: Much better near the mouth though: Meadows and generally pleasant areas 10 km NW of Town in the evening light on July 14: There's a road called "Erikslunds Road" in Nyköping, doesn't lead here, but nevermind let's pretend it does! Nice but dry forest: Visited the camping area bordering the archipelago, this camping area is called Svärdsklova and is about 18 km by bike eastward from home: The "beach" was highly disappointing to be fair: Nice road back: Until the bumps arrived that is... Nice evening light on the main county road 221 going back towards town. This is actually looking away from Nyköping's direction though: Almost ready new secondary town square: Very much renovated: Nice 22:03 evening light on Thursday:

Not a photo and not mine but I found a cool video that nicely shows the summer atmosphere here.

Yeah it's not unusual for the grass to go that colour.

Loads of beautiful pics on the last 2 pages! Can't keep up with the pace! Babu If that can reassure you, the sea is mostly brown over here too near the beach. Further away, either grey or dark blue depending on the weather. Pics from the countryside between Lille and Dunkirk: Not yet harvested wheat! Poor corn btw. Some trees along the motorway showed signs of yellowing. Towns look more Dutch than French. Promenade on the North Sea shores. Nothing but water all the way to the North Pole. Yikes. Certainly not NZ -the Tatras look nothing like the Southern Alps They look very much like the Pyrenees. Parts of the European Alps too, but not those we generally have in mind when we think of the range. I expected more snow this time of year.

bike ride on Saturday out into the Berkshires & Vermont border; with a short but steep hike. Was the last day of low humidity weather, sky was more active looking unlike the clear blue sky we had for days before. roadside wild turkey noontime up the hill tops at a forested plateau. At 2000 feet, had lunch here forest looks a bit different here, mostly birches, maples or conifers rolling big hills looking north into Vermont abandoned factory in a tiny town in the Deerfield River valley some rock here I like this hill wooden bridge needs repairs got hazy more valley photos started the hike, I got phone service once I got up to here, hadn't been service for a while. Mt. Greylock in the distance short rocky sections of the trail crossed a railroad at the trail start Bridge of Flowers in Shelburne Falls getting back after sunset
