a couple i took yesterday. 15C, overcast and drizzle. old fortress. this used to be the norwegian-swedish border. a large snail by maritime standards. An imposing looking fort -how old is it? That snail isn't that big by maritime standards -sea snails get much bigger than that. 710yrs old. here's some reading if you're interested. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bohus_Fortress

Picture I took on June 15th of last year, yeah I know it's not 2018, but it's a nice pic and during summer anyways so figured I'd share.

Interesting cloudscape yesterday in Trondheim
June 16th in Trondheim's SE cityforest (Estenstad forest). The pond is at ca 250 m ASL. Temp ca 16C.
A place to sit down and have a barbeque close to the ponds here. Some spruce trees are huge there. This image was taken a few days earlier this June
Slightly further down the path from the ponds, June 16th

How about lots of photos of the same lake? On different evenings. In Leverett, MA: sunset another day sunday night Monday night after two big thunderstorms. Evening was at almost 100% humidity and 73°F, was wisps of fog lined the hills. another one a few minutes later; couldn't decide which is better and Tuesday night (June 19) summer solstice next evening not at sunset; clouding over for the weekend rain. This one, like the first one was at 6:30 pm, rest at sunset. thought the other shot looked better on my phone.

Last week-ish or so (10-16 June): First sea swim on the 10th: 13th (maded drought): Industry or nature reserve? I chose the latter: Not flat enough for a glass of the white stuff: Kind horse: Hysterical horse: Rural forest area between meadows: I don't recommend taking a bike through here: Not to mention here... SAND? 15/6; new cell-phone camera: Troubled waters... Rolling meadow: Drought affecting some types of grass, evident here: Rolling: 16/6: Outdoors area SW of town housing the skiing hill: Interesting forest: Low-quality road: Sharp stones everywhere... Finally got to a barn and a better road, after having to lead the bike for five minutes: Dry grass, but the cat didn't seem to mind: Oldest road of the ghost town:

Finally back in Umeå. And now we've got a place of our own. Still some construction in the area, but it's looking pretty decent already. Having to wait a month for our actual couch meant we could/had to borrow this huge diarrhea colored couch. Looks like an apartment though. Balcony is huge and has a pretty alright view. We have a lake nearby so I can take twilight shots over a lake like Lommaren except without looking like a purplish dump. Our nearby large supermarket has these freaky scales that detect what food item you're weighing. Noteworthy building right in front of ours. Dunno what it is nor why it looks like a hipster flanel shirt. When this is one of the most exciting apartment buildings in Umeå, that tells a lot about how exciting the archetecture is here. This is why I don't take pictures of buildings. This is odd. Blatantly unfinished construction, but there's no construiction site. This looks very rural considering it's right between two of the most populated boroughs in the city. Drought. Drought. Bird cherries have started getting red leaves. This non-fruit-bearing cherry is looking even worse. It's supposed to be green. Wtf. This worker is peeing, on his job, onto a wall right next to his boxes. Uhhh...? Trail de mystique Trails de cozies Umeå is located in the taiga, a continuous forest. That means anywhere in Umeå that isn't built up is forest basically. Had a halo today.

Fuck man. Wales beats the shit out of Umeå in terms of scenery. We're not even remotely close.
Looks a lot like France. Makes sense.

Greetings from Verona!
Pictures from yesterday. It was hot (19°/31°C), quite humid (dewpoint around 19°C) with a blazing sunshine.
The city is truly wonderful!
