Textbook Altostratus clouds streaming Santa Maria. Are you ever gonna take pictures that aren’t the sky and the very tops of houses? I imagine the landscape is relatively interesting where you are and mountains are always interesting so a few more of those kinds of pics would be appreciated...

Some pictures from Trondheim, Nov 4th, mostly gloomy day, temp ca 5-6C. Fosen Alps across the fjord, NW direction That radar dome is at mt Gråkallen (552 m). The area near the fjord probably has escaped overnight freezes so far this autumn. The largest beech here has almost 5 m circumference trunk While most of the northern trees are now bare, the temperate trees are using more of the growing season, as represented here by these to saplings of maple and ash

It hasn't felt like the best week for photography but I still snapped that gorgeous one I posted early during the week during the clear sunset so I guess that has to do for this week for myself Great snaps from all of y'all!

Took a chance to add another pair of vantage points by the Bay during another clear autumn afternoon... it's getting rather unseasonal

They look pretty absurd Babu , they were planted sometime 2010-ish when they built an elementary school in that area across the water Actual distance is around 600 metres (0.4 miles).

One last picture. I'd take more photos of the landscape and whatever around here, but it's quite boring. I should do a drive out to Alligator Alley to take a pic of the big skies out there.

Classic November: dark, 2°C, decomposing leaves everywhere and an eerie fog in the background.

I looked back at older aurora pics and found out that yesterday's aurora was pretty mediocre. It was pretty strong for the first minute I was outside but diminished by the time I'd got the camera out. This was the last time I saw an aurora it was the 19th of October. I didn't think it was that amazing of an aurora that time either, though it was obviously cooler than yesterday's. And for good measure, to not post the same thing over and over again, here's something I've never posted before; a sunrise. Not an especially nice one, just something other than auroras.

It started snowing in Tavelsjö this morning. Can you spot the freezing line? We went to Vindeln, twice as far inland from Umeå as Tavelsjö. It seems Vindeln was above the freezing line...
