I fog common or rare in the Umeå-area? Is it most common in autumn?
12.5C here at 22:00 and breezy after a sunny day with high of 16.6C.

I think it's most common in early fall, although I'm not entirely sure. We've had morning fog pretty much every day this September I think, although I'm not sure how normal that is... Fog is a pretty normal occurence on the whole though.

October is here but the local oak grove is still quite green. 9°C. Birds don't care and are flying south anyway.

Trees are still greenish overall but the ground is covered in leaves nonetheless.

It's gone a little bit further where you are than here. Leaves everywhere I'd expect to become a thing maybe next week. Locally it can be that way, especially on higher ground where a train got stuck on wet leaves a few days ago at the 100 m asl Kolmården range, but the nights are obviously colder there so it certainly kills off the leaves faster than coastal, sea level and all that

Approaching peak color combined with golden light makes it pop nicely. 2°C.

Spring here. A wasp creating a nest under the outside roof of my houseboat.

Umeå is still peaking. Can't say the same for Tavelsjö, although I havem't bothered taking pictures. Last two-three days have been really windy and a lot of leaves have blown off.

You must've had a god damn storm to have leafless birches already. Umeå didn't even have leafless birches really until the last few days where it's been really windy.
