Weeks of rain have flooded a low-lying area called Soomaa. Usually it only floods in spring with melting snow.

Hi guys! In the last month I accumulated a lot of pictures which I would like to share with you. All pictures are saved on Imgur and linked in here. The first pictures were taken around the 20th of September in a place called Prà Catinat, which is a locality at about 1650 m of altitude in a valley close to my place. That place is also famous for the Forte di Fenestrelle, which is the largest militar alpine fortification in Europe. Of course I took some picture also of it (even though I didn't manage to get a complessive picture): The slopes around there are really step. This picture was taken around the 25th of September in Grenoble instead: This is Turin at the beginning of October: This is Susa, so the largest town in my area, one week ago: Finally, yesterday I took some picture from the Basilica di Superga, a church on the hills in the East part of Turin, famous for both its architecture and the view of the city and the nearby mountains which can be seen from there. That hill is about 650-700 m high. Here there is the church: About the view, in a clear day it is supposed to look like this. When we went in there the humidity was probably higher than how we expected, because the view was this one instead: Anyway, the foliage around there was quite cool too

I'm impressed how autumn-shaped the trees were in Grenoble on Sep 25, that's roughly similar to when they start to look like that all the way up here Nevertheless, great pics as usual, you really could have a career as a nature photographer if Chemistry wouldn't work out

Also, not all tree species change colour at the same time, and these one (I don't know their name) are usually the first ones to change colour around there. Anyway, I doubt I would be a good photographer, I'm not patient enough for these kind of things. Chemistry is much better

New try: Today there were municipal elections, because of it that flag. The most bare trees are aspens. I had thought that aspens will keep their leaves longer than birches but no Looks like now it works, no wasting of attachments space any more.

A very odd look to the sky today: unusually dense, wintry-like gloom even with a forecast high of up to 20C, but the sun looks bright orange for some reason?

Interesting to see just how long that Sahara dust can travel and the effect it has!

Interesting to see just how long that Sahara dust can travel and the effect it has! Hell, it can reach even here on occasion; I've also heard of it reaching Louisiana and Texas before. It really is quite amazing how much it can travel.

Here's yesterday It's not as much west of Africa, but it seems to be at least some heading to the UK judging by the difference in color between Portugal's ocean and that of Spain

Something very weird going on with the sun in Norrköping today: can anyone explain this and why it shone through the clouds like that?

Finally made it to the Alps, sadly only cellphone pics: Zugspitze: Went up there (Kramerspitze, elevation 1985 m, about 1300 m elevation gain): Along the trail... The peak is close now The last few trees: View to the north: Respect to the one who installed that cross: To the left you can see the trail: I did it!

Tavelsjö had its first hard freeze this night. It was strong enough to pick up. Viewed through a frozen lens. It had a decent thickness to it actually.
