Brazil-Croatia was probably the most infuriating World Cup match I have seen in my life. Croatia parked the bus for 105 minutes while Brazil missed a mountain of chances and the Croatian keeper turned into prime Lev Yashin. And then just to lose on a last-minute goal to the penalty merchants. I donโt remember any match in the past few world cups that annoyed me as much as this one did
Hope Argentina turns Croatia into asado

Brazil only have themselves to blame. A goal up in the 117th minute and they concede to a counter attack. Madness.

France are playing much better than England and would deserve to win IMO.

Tough exit. Hope we don't get a repeat of the 2018 Final, as that would be lame

Replace Tottenham with England.... no difference. You have to admire Harry Kane's commitment to not winning a single trophy in his otherwise great career

Been watching some of the World Cup and I will say soccer is growing on me. Iโd prefer more scoring but the difficulty of scoring does make it exciting when someone has the potential to. Certainly not on the level of football but Iโd put on par with basketballโenjoyable to watch but not something Iโd watch frequently like football.

I disagree, I can go down to watch my local village team and see an 8-5 scoreline, that's happened plenty of times. It's not all that great to watch. In theory, kicking a ball in the net is easy. When you're watching good teams, low scorelines are usually the result of excellent defensive organisation. That makes a goal hard to a score, and incredible when it does happen. A goal really means something. The net ripples, the crowd go crazy. David Beckham said it's the best feeling in the world, even better than sex

I'm sure if your local village team had a 1-0 match it would look really ugly as well Imagine a Barcelona-Real match that ends 5-4. Messi gets a hat trick, and Sergio Ramos and CR7 score headers in extra time. That would be a match that would be discussed for a very long time

The best goals I've seen were by players below the top level, but usually because nobody closed them down. A high level manager would lose his temper with his team if they conceded 4/5 goals under any circumstances. When was the last time that happened without ridiculous defensive errors by players like Slabhead Maguire?
