Congrats to Atleti for winning the 2020-21 La Liga! Winning goal scored by no man, other than the infamous Luis Suarez
Real scored 2 goals in the last few minutes to win their game 2-1. If Atleti lost or drew their match, would've been a real memorable moment for Real Madrid
Also a very dramatique Europa League race in La Liga, with Real Betis coming back from a 0-2 deficit to win their game and earn a spot. Real Sociedad also scored a dramatic last minute goal to snatch the spot away from Villarreal in heartbreaking fashion. Really crazy night, with these three teams leapfrogging each other as time passed

Lol he can come to Bournemouth if we get promoted. I wouldn't be complaining about that Ahaha nevermind didnt see brentford beating us 3-1. Despite that it was a pretty good year in the championship.

Best La Liga title race for a long time.
Big mistake for Barca to sell Suarez. Criminally underrated, likely because of his reputation. Very rarely mentioned in the debates of who's the world's best player, but he clearly belongs in the conversation. He's massively improved every team he's played for.

If you're coming here, you shouldn't be a hothouse flower pussy like James, you should embrace the culture like Pep has

And possibly even better than that one, as Sevilla looked like they could possibly win too, until the last few matchdays Suarez imo is the best non-CR7/Messi forward of the decade. Had an absolutely insane season for Liverpool, then an even crazier season for Barca when he scored 40 goals. Then he pretty much carried Atleti to the title with his dramatic late-game goals. That should seal his status as a legend if he had a better personality he would be considered among the best

Congrats to Lille for winning the 2020-21 Ligue 1 title 🎉🎊🍾
Also their first title in 10 years, just like Inter! Amazing how they managed to beat Petroleum Saint Germain with a fraction of the budget. They accomplished this amazing feat with a rock-hard defense, conceding only 23 goals

Started off slowly earlier in the season but really shone during after the new year. Bright future for him with club and country (probably the best Canadian player at the moment after Davies).

Yup! Jonathan David has been very important to Lille this year. They also have a young American player called Timothy Weah!
Hopefully the N American representation will get Lille some fans in US and Canada

The final table. A late surge by Tottenham denied a Champion's League spot for for Leicester, who have spent more time in the top 4 this season than any other team. Liverpool finish a very respectable 3rd, despite a troubled season blighted by injuries and a mid-season collapse.

On the plus side, the Gareth goals denied Arsenal a European spot which is hilarious

Best thing which has happened to European football in decades.

Perhaps, I just didn't want arsenal to be in it though.

Perhaps, I just didn't want arsenal to be in it though.
Meanwhile, I want HJK to be in it, and we have a realistic chance of qualifying. Every team which qualifies gets at least €3 million, and the turnover of HJK during the pandemic year of 2020 was around 6 million. The average salary of a HJK player is 55k € a year, which is a bit over half an average medical doctor earns a year in Finland.
The UEFA Conference League is a huge deal for clubs, players and fans in smaller countries, and will give them a huge boost. I understand why Arsenal, which spends €270 million a year on salaries for the first team it's nothing, but Europe is full of smaller clubs who want to get into group stage international football, especially when now when some clubs are struggling for survival due to the pandemic.

Oh yeah, I completely understand from your point of view. 100% agree, it gives plenty more teams another (relatively good) financial stream. I was just talking about my opinion from an arsenal point of view though.

A part of me wanted Utd to win that, just so they stick with Ole for a bit longer. Average manager, out of his depth

Is Ole still at the wheel??
