The club have no debt, so the money will probably be invested into the squad. The Kop stand also needs to be redeveloped. Sounds wise. There's a significant revenue gap between League 2 and the National League. Having merely two relegation spots in L2 also enables more long-term planning, and four promotion spots every year. Hopefully Wrexham can use the revenue wisely and reach L1 within three or four years.

Did Strewthless watch the Palace game? Never looked in doubt to me after Sakho pulled "a Sakho"

Not for sale!
Sheikh Khaled Bin Zayed Al Nehayan - the cousin of Man City owner Sheik Mansour, failed with £2bn bid to take over Liverpool.

I've heard there's another red club in the North of Wales that would gladly take such an investment. Would you recommend #InvestInWrexham to a sheikh like that?

No, better to be owned by the fans to be the personal toy of an Arab sugar daddy.

Guedes signs for Valencia. Great move for both the club, and the player himself. Feels like too many young players are like "Omg I want to play for Real!!! Omg I want to play for Man City!!!" but then end up being wasted on the bench

Liverpool drawn with against PSG, Napoli, and Red Star Belgrade in the UCL. Hard group, but could have been worse given our crappy pot. Feel sorry for Red Star

Doing well against big teams, and both PSG and Napoli have major problems with defending against a pack of players coming on counter attacks and applying strong pressure. PSG are one-trick ponies in that they're as reliant on Barcelona with regards to the front three, and theirs don't include Messi either.

I think Liverpool can win that group. PSG aren't all they're made out to be, Napoli a good team but we should beat them.

Rangers into the Europa League but Morelos sent off again, was he always this troublesome in HJK as well Ariete ? Rangers finished with nine men after the Scouse Cafu also picked up a red card. They really have some disciplinary issues, but it's a huge boost for them for Stevie to come in and immediately lead them to a European group stage once more after all those years away. Liverpool loanee Ovie Ejaria the big hero with his away goal as they clinched a 1-1 (2-1 on aggregate) against Russian club Ufa. Malmö just went into the Europa League group stage as well. Massive win to beat Midtjylland 2-0 away from home in Denmark after having dropped 2-0 to 2-2 at home. Huge recovery and very important for the club to be able to remain the financial powerhouse it is within Swedish football. Handy profit for this year sealed now.

Morelos was never sent off in Finland in any competition. He caught the occasional yellow, but kept his nerve quite well.
BTW, the last sending-off in the Scottish league was overturned.

Yeah the thing at Pittodrie looked like he just ran into their defender. No-one would be that silly. Not even Balotelli.
Is Olimpija Ljublijana's elimination something nice by the way? Trnava through.
Oh and Dudelange from Luxembourg into the Europa League having knocked Cluj out. Wow... Not only is Dudelange a very small town from a pretty much amateur league, but now they could get to play Arsenal, Chelsea or Milan.

I would not say so. HJK's effort against them was below all standards. The aggregate (1-7) was HJK's biggest defeat since 1984. Though Olimpija is better than last year, 4th place finishers VPS Vaasa defeated them 2-0 on aggregate last year, so it should tell something how utterly shameful HJK's defeat was. Also keep in mind that HJK was the seeded team. Director of Football of HJK Aki Riihilahti (ex Crystal Palace, Kaiserslautern, DIF) said it was a disgraceful showing and apologised to the fans.
It also sealed the fate of coach Mika Lehkosuo. After 5 seasons at the helm he will not get a renewed contract. Or if he does, I'm burning my HJK memorabilia.
Trnava seems to be quite a good side, they barely lost to Red Star Belgrade which now is in the CL Group Stage.

It'll be interesting to see whether Crvena Zvedza can even squeeze a point out of their group. Talk about going into the lions' den...
Aside from that Burnley on their way out against Olympiakos. That really seems to be a general pattern: each time an English team outside of the top six get a chance to play in Europe they absolutely embarass themselves. Sure, Olympiakos is a larger club than Burnley in their country and in terms of fanbase, but they have nowhere near the resources. Burnley now need a huge second half to recover that. Also don't forget the lacklustre group stage performance by Everton last season and then of course West Ham completely capitulating against some random club in the qualifying phase some time back.
København knocked Atalanta out on penalties, another big league fish getting knocked out early on. Molde fell just short against Zenit, whereas Brøndby and Puukki are on their way out against Genk. Rosenborg look set to make it though.
Three clubs in the Europa League group stages is a good start for the Scandinavian clubs under this new four-round CL playoff scheme, isn't it?

What I heard is that Red Star has presumably their best team in 10 years at least. But no, I don't think they can get a single point from such a tough group.
Malmö's win against Midtjylland was surely impressive, and so was FCK's elimination of Atalanta. Remember, Pukki plays in Norwich now. He has scored 3 in the first 6 games so he's had a good start.
HJK's Aki Riihilahti is the "Scandinavian" representative in UEFA, and was one of the masterminds behind this new qualifying formula. Which makes it even worse that HJK failed so miserably. But good that other Nordic clubs are reaping the full benefits!

Oops forgot about Puukki's transfer Good start either way. If he continues like that he might get picked up by some lower-end Premier League club soon. Are the Europa League qualifiers now mostly regionalized or what is that about? I saw Midtjylland played against some Welsh side in the previous round, does that have anything to do with that? On the other hand, Rangers only played Eastern European opposition...

Besiktas, Genk and Sarpsborg (had completely missed that a 4th Nordic team had gone through) for Malmö in the Europa League group stage - I am quite satisfied with that draw. Especially knowing how strong Malmö is at home in Europe. Of course teams like Salzburg, Celtic, Olympiakos and Shakthar have been defeated there before. Also Malmö have won three qualifying games away from home on the way there, so hopefully there's a three-pointer to be had in Norway too. Hopeful of a Last 32 slot.
Oh and Dudelange-Milan will be something epic!
Gerrard's Rangers will face Villarreal, Spartak and Rapid. That will be very tough but Rangers have knocked Osijek, Maribor and Ufa out, so finishing 2nd if performing at Ibrox wouldn't be out of the question.

Just can't wait to face Vorskla Poltava and Qarabağ. Two absolute powerhouses. With the additional bonus that Mkhitaryan is banned from entering Azerbaijan (by their government) due to him visiting a disputed area that both Armenia and Azerbaijan claim and the UEFA allowed that situation to stand when he was at Dortmund...
