I wish SMHI would place 5 different stations in Umeå too. I'm sure it's necessary. Maybe Umeå will finally become subtropique then if they place it in our city center on a patch of grass surrounded by heated ground.

Da fug? Sweden has by far more UHI stations than Finland. For the Tampere weather box I don't use the UHI station, but Härmälä, which is in a green suburbia.
Artukainen and Rajakari are the only stations in Turku. Kuopio Savilahti is by the Uni and represents the city, so does Lappeenranta Lepola. Both cities just happen to be by a big lake (Kallavesi and Saimaa). Lahti Laune and Hämeenlinna Katinen are the only stations in their city area.
For example in Kuopio I could find more triggering areas than Savilahti:
South-facing plot of concrete in the harbour maybe? Ritoniemi there on the east shore has a station, and it averaged 24.9C / 16.3C

Gothenburg, Stockholm and Uppsala have UHI stations. Lund just downgraded UHI. Rovaniemi literally has 4 stations for a city with 60k people. One of them had 26.0/12.0, what you'd expect of a place on the arctic circle away from the sea. Another recorded 27.2/15.5. That's the same difference as Stockholm has between its stations, and Stockholm is a city with 2m people... And Tampere recorded an average low of 17.8'C, warmer than Stockholm? I get that Tampere is next to a bunch of lakes, but Stockholm is in an archipelago and literally dubbed the Venice of the north, not to mention being a nordic metropolis.
Look, I fully support UHI stations so I don't think Finland should change them. I just wish SMHI would have such stations too.

The land area of Rovaniemi is almost as big as Delaware and Rhode Island combined. I think 3 stations are warranted (there are only 3). The Centre represents the city, the Airport the rural area, but at is in a very anomolous location (5b hardiness zone), Apukka is a good representative for Arctic conditions.
IDK what you're implying, as the anomolies were much larger in the north. Lapland had its warmest July on record!
Stockholm Observatoriet is as UHI as Tampere Tampella, which is why I don't use that for my boxes. You should use Bromma for Stockholm, because UHI sucks for weather statistics. Just because Stockholm is a larger city doesn't mean its UHI would be higher. Larger in area, yes, but not higher.
Tampella is indeed an ideal UHI location. IDK why FMI put a station there, likely for research purposes. My beautiful black marker shows where the Härmälä station is:
Tampere is the largest inland city in the Nordic Countries, so a couple of stations are surely warranted. The 3rd one, at Pirkkala Airport is in a far rural location.

Non-UHI stations are basically only useful for scientific and geeky purposes. UHI stations are much more useful for practical purposes such as growth period, hardiness and also when moving because of climate. Stockholm does have a warmer climate than the airport stations suggest, even if it isn't natural.
This is mainly my opinion though so it's not worth discussing further.

Average High: 87.1 (+1.8F) Average Low: 72.6 (+3.1F) Average Med: 79.8 (+2.4F)
Average High: 30.6C Average Low: 22.6C Average Med: 26.6C
Record High: 97F (36C) Record Low: 64F (18C)
Precipitation: 5.28 in!!!
Monthly rating: B. Decent month, well above average (14th warmest on record in LGA). The lack of epic heat sadly prevents it from being an A, but otherwise it's a satisfying month

If you live in the suburbs of the city or a small town in the region outside the city, the non-UHI reflects more where you live. Depends on the urban geography, but non-UHI might reflect more what most experience.

Sunhours for Sweden. No long-time records were broken. Only those stations that opened in 2006-2009 broke records

it'd be nice if people posted them as % to give a better idea of how sunny it'd actually feel. I got no clue what 350 sunshine hours means, especially with the long daylight hours. You know what the max sun hours possible for July at those latitudes?

I could look it up, but then I'd get low horizon sun that the recorder doesn't count.

Heres some records and near records (data back to 1872): •All time record high dew point! •6th warmest July •Warmest July since 1955! •2nd highest low max of July and any month •T-2nd most days over 80 of any month (29 days) •T-4th most July days over 90 (11 days) •Most days over 90 in any month since July 1955 •T-5th most days over 95 in July (4 days) •Most days over 95 in a month since July 1988 •Joins July 1921, July 1952, July 1955, July 1988 and August 2016 as only months with a 30 C average high There’s probably more I’ll add later Heres the month: And here’s the year so far:
