Oi dickheads.
August picked up the awesomeness which July left, but it turned out to be stort-lived. After 10 August the weather pattern changed dramatically and we returned to more normal weather conditions. 25-27 August were autumnlike, with an average high of 18.2C and high wind and some rain. August stayed above average though, +1.4C above the 1991-2018 mean.
Highest high: 31.2C (1st) Highest low: 21.0C (3rd) Lowest high: 16.7C (26th) Lowest low: 7.0C (22nd)

August was a gay ordinary load of dribble after the nice June and July.

Pretty average August in terms of temps and rainfall but pathologically cloudy with very few thunderstorms and extremely BORING overall. Day to day variation was very minimal as seen from the very narrow range between the lowest and highest daily max. Overall, a crap month and I'm glad it's over.

Quite similar here too as in NorrkΓΆping. Sizeable anticlimax after a hot start to the month, but remains above average. Probably about 23.5/14.5 in downtown NykΓΆping.

Pretty dry... Avg high was above normal but avg low below normal. Humidity seemed a bit less than usual overall. The first part of August had decent t-storm activity, though the airport seemed to miss out often. Then a dry stretch over a two week period with moisture returning over the final few days. Days 90F or above: 29 Lowest max: 89F Highest min: 76F Days with thunder: 16 Max dewpoint: 77F Avg dewpoint: 71F Min dewpoint: 59F

ral31 , man, you are a lucky bastard. 16 Thunderdays, FUCK. But damn, your highest highs are rediculously close to the sensational avg highs, that's like tiny Pacific Island at sea level on the Equator standard deviation there

Always amazed by how similar your PWS is to the official station. What PWS are you using?

ral31 , man, you are a lucky bastard. 16 Thunderdays, FUCK. But damn, your highest highs are rediculously close to the sensational avg highs, that's like tiny Pacific Island at sea level on the Equator standard deviation there Many of those thunder days were disappointments with storms conveniently finding ways to miss Alexandria or weaken as they arrive... Storms seemed to favor a track just north or south of Alexandria though thunder would still get recorded at the airport. Yeah summer temps are often pretty stable here. It actually reached 98F (36.7C) on 7 days of the month but for whatever reason couldn't get past that.

ral31 ah so basically just a couple of rumbles from storms avoiding you? That sucks and is fucking gay. One of Renmark's most infamous running gags. How many days did you get with an actual proper lightning show?

I don't see them that low. I'm near the calder freeway where it faces the airport, don't wanna give the exact suburb away.

Ah yeah, I've driven the Calder Hwy through there many times and can see the airport and landing/taking off aircraft while driving through.
Have to make a trip down there to the viewing area when there are strong northerlies! Always used to head out there when I was in Melbourne.
