Everybody start wanking... Fucking epic A+ year! Well January is technically 5 f too warm but everything else is the stuff of legends. And wait...it gets better... 36 thunderstorms and 6...yes SIX days with hail! Fuck me dead and bugger me sideways that is one good looking climate. Antarcticus will wank over that table for sure.

Last year was the driest year ever in here, but this year seems to want to break the opposite record... ^ here the closest weather station to my home ^ Turin airport weather station

Jesus that summer in Seoul! Wish I could have been there for it Also that jump from 3.3C to 13.6C highs! Wish we had that sort of spring warmup here ;( Even Daegu saw 27.7ยฐC(1.1ยฐ colder than Seoul) mean temps for August. This summer in the central-west part of the peninsula saw many epic records for heat lovers like you.

Year to date. Hottest August maybe hotter summer on record. And wettest? sunshine from Blue Hill Observatory. Monthly graph I commented it was very wet; 5 miles to the north got more rain; storm track seemed to keep hitting the same places. Wettest spots got 20 inches of rain in 2 months (June 20 - August 20). High humidity midsummer without much break compared to 2013, where it was all concentrated in one month or last year, which rarely got that steamy, had lots of below 60ยฐF summer dews + a dry spell late August / early September

High near normal, low above normal. Monthly anomaly of +0.9ยบF. Above normal rainfall, but complete shit for lightning.

Average temperature: 18,3ยฐC Record high: 32,6ยฐC Record low: 4,4ยฐC Precipitation: 81 mm Sunshine: 250 h
So a few degrees warmer than normal - because of course it was -, average precipitation and slightly sunnier than normal. After four months of warmer than average summer, I'm ready to freeze my ass off.

More of the same. No precipitation included for July and August because incredibly uneven precipitation patterns have made those statistics wildly inaccurate. (How inaccurate? MCI Airport's July rain total is 5.29 inches, while MKC (downtown station)'s July rain total is 1.05 inches. Which is right? Both! That's how localized all precipitation here has been this summer.) Blah, annoying how even with slightly colder winters, Kansas City warms up a million times quicker than NYC. 12C highs here in March would be a pipe dream

A pretty boring month but that is per fucking usual, so I'm not too pissed. Interesting how North Vancouver has had significantly (relatively, for this area mind you) warmer lows this summer than YVR. I expected them to be on par or at least YVR the warmer one since it's an island.

I think it averages around 12C but if you get shallow enough water at low tide then it could be pretty warm. I've felt water here near 20C, obviously very shallow.

Christ with water that cold yeah it's not surprising the lows at YVR struggled. I can see the inland suburbs with the warmer highs and UHI having warmer lows in this case. Those 20C shallow pockets are just too localised and small to have any real effect.

Where is a good place to find a monthly min/max/average dew point for USA climate stations? Weather underground was my go-to, but it gives bogus data the past few months. NowData doesn't seem to track it.

Yeah I suppose the SSTs are slightly warmer in the Burrard inlet, which makes sense since more land surrounds it than YVR. I can't fucken wait till these oppressive 20C days are over and done with. Then I won't be able to enjoy a nice stout at 6pm outside after work, finally!

Unlike the east coast, our rain comes when temperatures are low so it's not so enjoyable in the summer. We don't get the bountiful rain you do even if temps are high. That said, I have enjoyed the bountiful sunlight and sufficiently warm temps that allow me to drink beer outside after work. In a month, it will be dicey at best and I won't be able to do that until April, at least.

August was a very mixed bag in Saskatoon. The first two and a half weeks of the month had great temperatures, mostly above average with our biggest heat wave in a decade, however it partly ruined by frequent heavy smoke (which likely also robbed us of hitting the 300 hour sunshine mark for the 5th month in a row). And then the rest of the month had an unseasonal cool down with fall-like temperatures. So it was a bit disappointing overall, though with some very epic and memorable moments. Average high: 25.0C (normal: 25.2C) Average low: 9.2C (normal: 11.1C) Highest high: 38.2C (Aug 10th) Highest low: 14.8C (2nd) Lowest high: 13.2C (27th) Lowest low: 1.6C (19th) Precipitation: 17.2mm (normal: 44.4) Precipitation days: 7 (normal: 9) Rainiest day: 9.3mm (3rd) Sunshine hours: 243.7 (normal: 269.6)โฆ thanks, smoke!
