These last few days have really lowered this momth’s averages, down to 77.8/60.1 now with 3 cool days left. Still hanging in at 2nd warmest all time but that won’t last. The last 2 days rain also ruined what could have been an impressively dry month...we now have 2.78” (70 mm) which is only a bit below average. We just climbed back into the “abnormally dry” drought category but that’s gonna be gone now with all the rain Tuesday and Wednesday

Enjoying a spell of sunny weather here (finally!). Unfortunately, this has brought with it some very hot and humid conditions:

We're going down to -6C tonight and then -8C on Saturday night, very cold for September, this is more what we would expect to see in late October/early November. Record low for tonight is -9.6C and the record low for Saturday is -9.4C so we're not too far off from record-breaking territory here. Average low for this period is 2C.
Interestingly enough, even with the frigid temperatures and snow we recently had, our coldest low of the month so far took place on a day with a 22C high.

Another hot one yesterday - high of 36 C dropping to 27-28 C overnight in most areas. Very nice rain / thunderstorm with over 30 mm over an hour or so. I saw several cloud-ground strikes within a km of here. I got scared and went inside LOL. Then it cleared and one half of the sky was blue while the other was still a dark grey - pretty cool. I gotta say it was a good day.

Nice September weather lately: blue dome skies and high diurnals. 26/5°C today. :-) You’ve been getting more dry, clear autumn weather than us, doesn’t feel like September without some blue dome skies

Hopefully that'll be good for the foliage despite the intense drought this summer.

The low was 50°F this morning, which means this will be the first September since 2008 to not record a temperature in the 40s. And since the upcoming forecast shows very mild nights in the 60s, it looks likely that we will break the record for latest sub-50°F which is October 8.

The past couple of days haven't been too bad. Temps have been a bit lower with mostly overcast conditions. The first low below 70F of September was Thursday... Pretty pathetic to go so long without getting below 70F. The normal low for today's date is 61F. Looks like it will get back to around 90F next week with mins in the low 70's.
