Lets take a ride on the crazy train -28F anomalies. Completely and utterly impossible. Wtf is wrong with the EC. I like that pattern. Crazy how far north the ridge is still

Shitty rainy day today, got 0.82โ (20 mm) so far.
It did lead to some epic fog in the late afternoon, the visibility was literally 10 feet around 6 PM.
The forecast for Boulder looks godawful, Friday is decent but Saturday and Sunday are low 50s and rain. Much better in Rochester.
Hopefully Iโll at least get some snow up at my brotherโs house in Nederland. Forecast for snow showers Sunday and Monday.

The heat wave is finally over and it brought a lot of rain - nearly 150 mm over the past week at one site:

Seems like the Midwest and areas do our south are stealing the warmth.
This so called massive ridge is seemingly only giving us 3 days over 75 and just 1 barely over 80. Pretty average warm spell for early October.
Itโs supposed to be horrendous weather in boulder with highs in the low 50s and rain, at least Nederland is supposed to get snow...

Looks like Iโll get back to warmth until Thursday. Second half of October looks cooler but I donโt mind if itโs drier.

Rochester got to 79 (26 C) today, the warmest temp in 2 weeks.
More impressively, the dew point reached 70 (21 C) which is extremely rare for October. Apparently it also reached 71 (22 C) on Thursday.
Thursdayโs dew was tied for the highest October dew point on record!
October days with 70+ dews since records start in 1948:
October 6, 2013 October 4, 2018 October 6, 2018
Today also picked up 0.48โ (12 mm), bringing the monthly total to 2.19โ (55 mm) already on 5 days. Looks like itโll sadly be the 3rd straight very wet October...
