Quite a cold night in the TX/OK Panhandles for tomorrow night, almost in the teens in some spots and not even past mid-October yet! Quite the cold snap for late this weekend/early next week predicted for this region.

Rochester only got to 53 (12 C), today which is the coldest high since April.
It’s also down to 41 (5 C) now, could be the first sub-40 since May 1.
Got to 55 (13 C) in NYC, rainy morning with 0.10” (3 mm) but cleared up later.

interesting Mt. Washington is #1 outside of Alaska for this stat. Maybe cause it has a relatively low diurnal range but high variability? For the foreseeable future Anchorage looks to have above average temperatures but that could rapidly change to significantly below average temps. November is usually one of the coldest winter months there. Temps below 10F are pretty common in November there for some reason. I experienced a few days with highs in the single digits in November there.
