Hurricane Michael got caught inside a cold front, will sweep the coast to Virginia and then out to sea; centered along the "benchmark" of 40°N 70°W — ideal spot for a Nor'easter to create a big coastal snowstorm if it were cold at 8 am tomorrow. About 1.5" of rain coming with it

Another 71 (22 C) dew this morning.
That’s the 5th day with a 70+ dew this month!
Cant get the extra degree to set the record though so now today just makes it a 4-way tie for hottest at 71.
Turning much cooler tonight, nothing above 60 (16 C) in the 10-day...hopefully today isn’t the last 70 of the year—that would suck

Just saw that average low for September in Alexandria, LA, 67.4F is nearly the same as the mean minimum in Phoenix for September of 67.1F. The average September low in Phoenix is 9.5F higher than here.

interesting Mt. Washington is #1 outside of Alaska for this stat. Maybe cause it has a relatively low diurnal range but high variability?
