Had two nice tropical downpours today and looks like more coming. The second one had a good bit of lightning. Have 0.56” in my gauge so far. The sun is back out which may build up instability ahead of the coming round.
Tropical Storm Gordon looks like it may go more to my east. Not sure if I will get that much...

Number of days at or above 90 F/32 C this year: May: 2 June: 1 July: 6 August: 3 Interesting how few you’ve gotten. Seems like areas farther north have done better. For Rochester: May: 1 June: 3 July: 11 (!!!) Aug: 4 Sept: 1 so far That’s 20 days so far, Wednesday will definitely hit 90 and hopefully we can get another 1-2 mid month. Today got to 93 (34 C), the hottest September day since 2007! Also the 3rd warmest September temp since 1973.

Utsjoki Nuorgam (the northernmost place and weather station in Finland) recorded a new September heat record yesterday: 23.8C. Utsjoki Kevo's record is 24.3C, but Nuorgam hasn't managed this high a temp in September before. The old record since 1970 was 22.1C.

Got to 88 (31 C) today. The highs so far this month have been 87, 88, 93, 88 and tomorrow should be in the 90s.
The lows have been really impressive too, we had 2 70+ lows and it hasn’t been below 67 (19 C) this month.
We have a chance at our first sub 70 highs since June over the weekend but it’s supposed to warm back into the 80s by the middle of next week.

Today was a Nice-esque cloudy, damp and 22/17°C day in Paris, the kind of weather you get on the Riviera in October.

Saskatoon just hit 13C at 5:00pm. Combined with the high winds, frost advisory for tonight, and yellow leaves on many trees, today felt more like mid-October than early September.
