Max temp here was like 15 F below normal today. Now that's what I'm talking about! Looking at the forecast, it looks like constant 70F+ dews are a thing of the past too. thought we'd get a return mid-week? maybe dews just below 70°F
Sure there might be a few more days of 70+ dews, I just meant that their constant presence is done (i.e., the 70+ periods will be a lot sparser from now on, as opposed to most of August and the first week of this month).

Long Island & NYC are getting three days of 70°F+ dews starting tomorrow so not too different than previous weeks humidity-wise. Just less heat. Afterwards, humidity doesn't look quite as high but still high for September. High for the time of year and air temperatures. Not much low humidity and sunny weather coming up this month; the Bermuda High isn't letting go

Only 63°F and overcast as of 1pm. Looking like the first sub-70 high since May 5th.

I'm not suggesting a pattern change, just that the temps themselves are gradually becoming more moderate as the season changes. E.g. forecast shows temps in the 70s and 80s rather than 80s and 90s. And dews in the 60s rather than 70s. (IOW, less gayshit even with the gaybo pattern holding strong.)

Uncharactersitically far north for whatever reason

Everyday this coming week has a forecast high between 10C and 12C (average high for that period is between 18C and 19C)... Septober is definitely in full effect this year!

Another chilly day today but it warmed up throughout the day—something more typical of winter than early fall.
High is 62 (17 C) so far, low was 51 (11 C) so both the 60+ highs and 50+ streaks continue.
It was a rainy washout for much of the morning with a total of 1.19” (30 mm) falling. The afternoon was cool and cloudy but at least dried up.
Havent seen the sun since Thursday, basically been a grey sheet since then. Tomorrow will be the last day of it though.

Jesus it doesn't waste any time getting cold there! I would be pissed, especially with months of subzero to look forward to. Normally September is a fairly mild month here and can even get some pretty decent heatwaves some years, but this time around it's definitely been a super quick descent into fall... hard to believe that a month ago today it was 38C. My one major hope for this month is that it doesn't continue to plummet and that we can hold on to these temperatures at least until their natural end in late October/early November. We didn't have much of a spring this year (went from sub-freezing in most of April to mid-20s in most of May) so I'm hoping for some proper shoulder season weather, and to not have an early start to the snow season. But we'll see what happens...
