59F/15C and partly cloudy. Really nice day today. Shame there were no thunderstorms but that's no surprise.

Got to 82 (28 C) today, the warmest since last Wednesday.
Looks like a few more days of 80s but then another cool spell next week. The first week will keep this September above average but it doesn’t seem like it will be nearly as notable as 2015 or 2016.

Was expecting 80F today, only reached 77 no doubt the shitty clouds prevented that...

As of 10 PM, Myrtle Beach has gotten 5.49” (140 mm) of rain today from Florence.
Theyre expecting another 6-8” (150-200 mm) tomorrow and 1-3” (25-75 mm) on Sunday.
Wilmington, NC went off line at 3 PM after picking up 3.88” (99 mm), so they’ve probably gotten much more. Before going offline their peak sustained wind was 61 mph with a max gust of 87 mph.
Wilmington is forecast to get over 8” (200+ mm) tomorrow and up to 3” (75 mm) more on Sunday.
Not nearly as impressive as hurricane Havey last year but still some interesting rain totals.

Do you have a rain total for Chesapeake, VA? I had an acquaintance who just moved there from KC (after living in the Midwest her whole life) two weeks ago. It must be quite a shock to her.

At KNYC we haven't reached 80 F since September 6th! That day reached 93. Hopefully we can keep the streak going (until next May).
We also had double-digit negative anomalies on the 9th and 10th; those helped bring us back down to the Sept avg despite a shitty start.

Moderate rainfall nearly every day and still quite hot. Had a very impressive thunderstorm a few days ago too. It went on for hours

Hurricane Florence barely moved an inch since making landfall. Must be some intense flooding in the Carolinas right now
