Weβve had a lot of discussion about this on the shout box lately so I decided to make a thread on it.
My ideal is in the 2400-2700 range with a majority coming in summer.

1900-2200 for me, I don't like too much sunshine but I also don't like a cloudy shithole like Macquerie Island.

1600-1900, but the upper end of that range.

I'd keep the 1800ish we have now but distribute it more evenly. 400 in June and 15 in December is a bit too extreme. I like the low winter sunlight but hardly ever get to see it.

I love the sun, but it's hard for me to know what's too much as I've never experienced too much. Maybe 70-80% sunshine is my ideal? 1/5 days being rainy, or a few scattered clouds and rain showers here and there shouldn't be too boring.
That'd be 3000-3500h. If you account for the fact that sun recorders never record 100% daylight even on a day without clouds, maybe that's 2800-3300

Around the same as perth, so in the lower range of 3100-3400 hours. I suppose i'd be fine with anything above 2500 though.

High 2700's I think. I'm flexible within a 2,200-3,500 range though. If it's going to be higher than that, it better not be brutal UV.

About 38~43%(1,700~1,930 hours) possible sunshine. Averages vary from 2.5 hours in December to 7 hours in July.

2500-2800, evenly distributed around the year.

Low 2000s is ideal for me, as I like a fairly even mix of sun and cloud overall. Though it does partly depends on the climate - I'd be okay with a bit cloudier, like (downtown) Vancouver's 1800 hours if it was distributed evenly and in a relatively warm climate (not due to constant cold rain and just-above-freezing temperatures).

1600-1900, but the upper end of that range. I'm surprised you like such little sunshine, thought you liked it sunny.

2350 is the average in my dream climate. I doubt it has ever recorded below 2000 hours, but neither over 2800.
Ideal is 30% of possible in winter, 65% of possible in summer.

Mid/high 2000's. Voted 2500-2800.
Although distribution is also important.

^^^^^ You won't find too many mid 2000's in Ireland, but I guess the drizzle and damp will make up for it. 2500 -2800 hours for me, with even distribution. Never said sunshine was the most important factor for me, doesn't mean I can't have an ideal.

Basically I strongly disliked a climate that is a slightly cooler version of Joe's, so he's become obsessive about it
